Responsibilities / Tasks
As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will support the optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work with cross-functional teams—including Production, Quality Assurance, and R&D—to assist in continuous improvement activities and support daily manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in designing and improving under guidance for manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
Support workflow and layout analysis with direction from senior engineers.
Help maintain process control techniques to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
Participate in the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, methods, and techniques.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop and implement quality control procedures.
Assist with manufacturability reviews and documentation for new product development.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
0-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ERP systems preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Six Sigma exposure preferred.
Exposure to automation and robotics preferred.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $77,000 - $86,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
