Role Summary
Are you a hands-on marketer who knows the Spanish market and enjoys turning ideas into campaigns that make a real local impact? Based in Madrid, you will work closely with our local business to bring Hiscox’s marketing to life across Iberia, with a particular focus on Spain and Portugal.
This is a varied, high-visibility role for a marketer who combines creativity with strong execution and commercial awareness. Working side by side with our local commercial teams, brokers and partners, you will deliver integrated campaigns, local events and activations that support day-to-day business priorities, while ensuring our marketing is locally relevant, commercially effective and consistent with the Hiscox brand.
As part of our European Marketing team, you will also be the voice of the Iberian market, sharing customer feedback, competitive developments and local opportunities to help shape stronger marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Local Marketing & Business Partnering
- Work closely with the local commercial and distribution teams to understand business priorities and translate them into practical marketing plans and actions.
- Act as the go-to marketing partner for the business in Spain, supporting day-to-day needs with agility and a strong sense of ownership.
Campaign Delivery & Market Activation
- Adapt and deliver European marketing campaigns across Iberia, ensuring strong local relevance and consistent execution.
- Plan and coordinate integrated campaigns across the marketing mix, including local activations, partner initiatives, content and digital channels.
Events, Brokers & Partners
- Plan and deliver local events, webinars and partner initiatives that strengthen relationships with brokers and customers.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, brokers, agencies and business partners.
Content & Customer Engagement
- Create and localise marketing materials and content for local audiences, working with the European Content and Digital teams.
- Ensure all communications are consistent with the Hiscox brand and adapted to the needs of the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
Market Insight & European Collaboration
- Represent Iberian market needs within the European Marketing team.
- Share customer, competitor and market insights, and contribute to best practices across Europe.

- Hands-on approach, with strong campaign, event and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the confidence to partner with sales and senior business stakeholders.
- Creative, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative attitude and comfortable working within a wider European team.
Experience & Qualifications
- Around 5 years of hands-on marketing experience.
- Proven marketing experience in the Spanish market, delivering campaigns, events and activations for local audiences.
- Experience working closely with sales or commercial teams to support business objectives.
- Experience managing agencies or external partners would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with digital channels as part of an integrated marketing mix.
- Fluent professional English and Spanish are essential.
- Portuguese, French or German would be a strong advantage.
- Based in Madrid, with the right to work in Spain.
