This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Marketing Operations Specialist – Direct Response (GoHighLevel / ActiveCampaign) based in India.
As a Marketing Operations Specialist, you will play a central role in keeping a fast-growing, performance-driven digital marketing operation organized, efficient, and accountable. You will oversee reporting, campaign workflows, quality assurance, funnel builds, email automations, and creative production coordination. Working closely with the Head of Growth and direct response marketing team, you will turn marketing strategies into well-executed campaigns backed by accurate data and reliable processes. You will build and maintain the systems, dashboards, and procedures that enable the team to scale without operational bottlenecks. This hands-on role also offers the opportunity to leverage AI tools and automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve productivity. As the first dedicated specialist in this function, you will have significant ownership in shaping operational standards and building scalable systems for long-term growth.
- Marketing reporting and analytics: Own the weekly marketing dashboard and Monday performance report, tracking advertising spend, cost per call, opt-in rates, return on ad spend (ROAS), writer win rates, and the number of ads launched. Reconcile data across advertising platforms, Hyros, and the CRM, investigate discrepancies, and prepare monthly summaries by funnel stage.
- Workflow and systems management: Manage and optimize the marketing team's ClickUp workspace, including production pipelines, task statuses, dashboards, templates, and intake processes from Slack. Maintain clear standard operating procedures, naming conventions, and an organized digital asset library.
- Quality assurance and compliance: Implement and maintain pre-launch quality checks for advertisements and emails, covering prohibited terminology, marketing claims, naming conventions, landing pages, and tracking. Keep an accurate record of what launches, where it is published, and when it goes live.
- Funnel and landing page development: Build and maintain landing page variants and funnel pages using GoHighLevel or ClickFunnels. Translate approved copy and campaign briefs into functional pages, configure split tests, and ensure accurate implementation of tracking and other technical requirements.
- Email marketing and automation: Create email sequences and marketing automations in ActiveCampaign, ensuring that workflows are implemented correctly and support the intended customer journey and campaign objectives.
- Creative production coordination: Coordinate the pool of video editors, manage weekly meetings and creative briefs, monitor turnaround times and revision targets, support editor onboarding and applicant screening, and track performance-based bonus schemes. Keep production moving while ensuring creative approval remains with the appropriate marketing lead.
- Growth leadership support: Maintain visibility over deliverables, deadlines, and dependencies; proactively flag potential delays; coordinate recording sessions and meeting calendars; and support onboarding, tool access, and subscription management.
- AI and process automation: Use tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to automate repetitive operational tasks, including reporting, quality checks, documentation, and data reconciliation. Identify additional opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Operational excellence: Establish reliable, repeatable processes that improve accuracy, accountability, and collaboration as the marketing function expands.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing operations, campaign operations, funnel development, or a similar role, ideally within an online coaching business, digital course company, direct-response marketing organization, or relevant agency.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a project management workspace in ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Notion, or a comparable platform, with the ability to create workflows that teams can consistently follow.
- Hands-on experience building landing pages and funnels using GoHighLevel or ClickFunnels, as well as developing email sequences and automations in ActiveCampaign. Experience with Klaviyo or HubSpot is also relevant.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile marketing data, identify inconsistencies, validate metrics, and maintain accurate reports.
- A proven track record of independently managing recurring operational responsibilities, such as weekly reporting or daily quality checks, consistently and reliably over an extended period.
- Experience coordinating freelancers, video editors, or small creative teams, with the ability to manage schedules, briefs, revisions, and deadlines without relying on formal managerial authority.
- Advanced practical knowledge of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or comparable platforms, with daily usage and demonstrated experience automating at least one real business process.
- Native-level written English proficiency, including the ability to identify spelling and language errors in edited videos, write clear procedures and checklists, and prepare reports for the wider team.
- Strong organizational, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate bottlenecks and address issues before they affect delivery.
- A high degree of ownership, reliability, and self-direction, with the confidence to manage responsibilities independently and keep stakeholders informed without constant supervision.
- A process-oriented mindset, a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement, and an interest in developing long-term expertise within a growing organization.
- Availability to work core hours aligned with European or Dubai time zones. Applicants must be able to remain accessible during the team's working day, although the role does not follow a rigid nine-to-five schedule or require formal hour tracking.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation: Monthly payments in US dollars under a full-time contractor arrangement.
- Performance-based bonus: Opportunity to earn an annual bonus of up to 10%, tied to targets within your control.
- Fully remote work: Work remotely from India or another eligible location that supports the required European or Dubai time-zone overlap.
- Flexible working approach: No rigid nine-to-five schedule or formal hour tracking, with an emphasis on availability, accountability, and results during core working hours.
- Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for establishing and improving the operational systems that support a growing direct-response marketing function.
- Professional development: Build expertise across marketing analytics, funnel development, email automation, project management, and AI-powered workflows.
- Exposure to modern tools: Work with platforms such as GoHighLevel, ActiveCampaign, ClickUp, Hyros, Claude, and ChatGPT.
- Long-term growth potential: Help shape a newly established function and develop processes that can support future team expansion.
- Healthcare and paid leave: Specific healthcare coverage, paid leave, and other additional benefits have not been stated in the available job description and should be confirmed during the recruitment process.
