About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Experience

The Marketing Technology and Engineering (MTE) team builds, scales, and integrates go-to-market motions in partnership with Core and Slack's Marketing and Sales teams. We are looking for a MarTech Operations Specialist to manage the team's day-to-day operations and help our marketing technology portfolio run effectively.

In this role, you will support Slack's Marketing business and the MTE team by managing day-to-day operations across three main areas: procurement, budget management, and platform and process maintenance. You will help the business acquire and renew the technology it needs, maintain visibility into spending and commitments, and keep established platforms and workflows running reliably.

You will work closely with MarTech platform owners, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Privacy, and Web Engineering. Your attention to detail and ability to improve processes will help the team deliver reliable support and create more capacity for strategic technology initiatives.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Budget Management

Help the MTE team plan and manage technology spending by maintaining accurate financial records and giving team leadership clear visibility into budgets, commitments, and upcoming expenses.

Some of the work for example would include:

• Maintain the MTE budget tracker, including planned spend, purchase commitments, invoices, and actuals.
• Partner with Finance and team leadership to reconcile expenses, update forecasts, and flag variances.
• Maintain a calendar of renewals and payment deadlines, and prepare budget summaries to support annual and quarterly planning.

Procurement

Help the business acquire and renew the marketing technology it needs by coordinating the purchasing and contract process.

Some of the work for example would include:

• Gathering requirements and vendor quotes through purchase requests, vendor onboarding, and purchase orders.
• Drive contracts through required Procurement, Legal, Security, Privacy, and Finance reviews.
• Track approvals and signatures, follow up on blockers, and maintain executed agreements and renewal terms.
• Maintain the technology portfolio register, including business and platform owners, costs, contract dates, and renewal decisions.
• Work with platform owners to identify unused licenses, overlapping tools, and opportunities to reduce spend.
• Maintain visibility into active requests, procurement milestones, and operational deadlines. Prepare regular stakeholder updates on status, blockers, and upcoming changes.

Marketing Operations Support

Support the business and MTE team by keeping established marketing platforms and operational processes running reliably. Coordinate incoming requests, complete routine maintenance and support activities, and improve documentation and workflows to make everyday work easier.

Some of the work for example would include:

• Manage the Marketing Operations intake channel: acknowledge requests, clarify requirements, triage issues, and route work to the appropriate owner.
• Execute list uploads into designated systems using approved source files and instructions.
• Create and maintain operating procedures, checklists, and self-service guidance.
• Identify recurring issues and partner with the team to simplify workflows and automate repetitive work using approved tools, including AI where appropriate.

You're Our Person If...

• 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology operations, business operations, or a related role.
• Experience tracking budgets or vendor spend and coordinating procurement, purchase orders, contract workflows, or renewals.
• Experience managing an intake queue or support channel, prioritizing requests, and communicating clearly with business and technical partners.
• Working knowledge of marketing systems, campaign operations, audience lists, and lead management, with the ability to follow and troubleshoot documented workflows.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and attention to detail when reconciling financial records, validating data files, and tracking deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, follow through on dependencies, and handle confidential business and customer information responsibly.
• Experience documenting processes and using Project Management tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Even Better If...

• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, advertising platforms, and Slack.
• Experience supporting a SaaS technology portfolio and working with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Privacy, or Web Engineering.
• Experience improving operational reporting, creating self-service resources, or using workflow automation and AI tools to reduce manual work.
• Familiarity with Excel and Dataloader
