Media Business Director (Contract)

We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Media Business Director on a fixed-term contract (immediate start to end of January) with our awesome team in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

The role:

As Business Director, you'll be the senior lead across a portfolio of clients, overseeing the development and delivery of integrated media strategies across both traditional and digital channels. You'll work closely with internal specialist teams to ensure campaigns are insight-led, commercially effective, and flawlessly executed.

You'll also play a key leadership role within the agency, mentoring team members, strengthening client partnerships, and identifying opportunities to grow client accounts and broaden our service offering.

Core responsibilites:

• Act as the senior day-to-day client lead, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and providing strategic counsel.
• Lead the development of integrated media strategies and plans across offline and digital channels.
• Ensure the highest quality of client deliverables, campaign execution, reporting, and overall account performance.
• Partner closely with Digital Directors, Business Directors, and specialist teams to deliver cohesive media solutions.
• Oversee client contracts, compliance requirements, and commercial processes where required.

A bit about you:

• Extensive experience in a senior media agency role, ideally at Business Director level or equivalent.
• Strong background in media strategy, planning, and client leadership across traditional and digital channels.
• Proven ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
• Able to simplify complex challenges and translate insights into clear strategic recommendations.
• Calm, adaptable, and comfortable stepping into an established team to make an immediate impact.
