Our mission at Avelios is to unlock clinical data to power seamless healthcare operations for better patient care. To do so, we have built a modular software platform that digitizes and optimizes workflows in hospitals with cutting-edge technology in a user-friendly way. With our software, we enable hospitals, doctors & nurses to provide their patients with the best possible care.
We are growing fast and want to keep expanding our team and business to fundamentally digitize healthcare for the better. We appreciate different backgrounds and see diversity as one of our strengths.
As a Medical Product Manager (all genders) you will bring deep clinical expertise into our product development and ensure that what we build reflects real hospital workflows, is medically sound, and creates genuine value for the clinicians using our software every day.
Bridging medicine, product management, and engineering, you will translate complex clinical processes and needs into clear, buildable product requirements. Combining hands-on hospital experience with active product ownership, you will drive medical topics from the first clinical concept through to delivery.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary internal team – including fellow physicians and nursing professionals in product roles, Product Managers, Designers and Engineers – as well as with clinical staff and project teams on-site to continuously improve our platform. Your impact will be visible in a product that clinicians want to use and in a team that deeply understands the clinical reality it is building for.
Own medical components in our platform end-to-end, from discovery, conceptualization of requirements and solution, through specification, prioritization, development and testing to delivery
Analyze clinical workflows and processes together with hospital partners, identify needs and inefficiencies, and translate them into structured, actionable product requirements
Write clear specifications with acceptance criteria, validate implemented features against clinical requirements and provide structured feedback throughout the development process
Ensure the accuracy, consistency and completeness of medical terminology, data sets, clinical logic and workflows across the product and proactively resolve clinical inaccuracies
Collaborate closely with internal teams and clinical partners to validate concepts, incorporate real-world clinical feedback, and actively shape roadmap and prioritization decisions from a medical perspective
Medical Degree (Approbation) and 2+ years of hands-on clinical experience, preferably across different clinical settings or even hospitals
Genuine interest in healthcare digitalization and software products, ideally experience with hospital information systems, digitalization initiatives, or product management
Structured and analytical thinking: ability to translate complex clinical requirements into precise, understandable specifications for non-clinical colleagues
Strong sense of ownership and a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment - comfortable working across disciplines and stepping in when needed
High affinity for technology and emerging developments such as AI, ideally experience with trying out / building own things. Knowledge about agile working methods and tools such as Jira, Figma, or AI-supported product development tools are beneficial but not a must
Fluency in German and English; clear verbal and written communication to get needs and outcomes across; comfortable talking directly with customers and users, including occasional on-site visits
Variety in your tasks and the opportunity to take ownership
An international, informal team structure in a motivating start-up atmosphere, allowing you to participate directly in our customer growth story and the overall success of Avelios
Ability to gain valuable hands-on experience in a startup backed by leading international VCs
Support for your personal development through continuous learning and feedback
Set your own rhythm with flexible working hours and trust-based time tracking
A virtual stock option package (VSOP) that lets you participate in Avelios’ long-term value creation
A monthly meal allowance up to 75 euros, full coverage of the Deutschlandticket, Urban Sports Club or a subsidized Wellpass membership, a bike leasing program and Corporate Benefits that give you access to discounts from a wide range of providers in various areas
