Odyssey is an AI lab pioneering general world models: causal, multimodal systems that learn to predict and interact with the world over long horizons. This foundational technology promises to revolutionize robotics, science, healthcare, education, gaming, defense, and beyond.
Odyssey’s founders previously pioneered the most complex application of physical AI: self-driving cars. They’ve now brought together a world-class research team from DeepMind, Tesla, Waymo, Meta, Apple, and Wayve, who have made significant contributions to language models (DeepMind Gemini), video models (DeepMind Veo), world models (Wayve GAIA), and autonomous systems (Tesla FSD).
Odyssey has raised significant venture capital from GV, Amazon, AMD, EQT, NVIDIA, Natural Capital, In-Q-Tel, Elad Gil, Jeff Dean, Guillermo Rauch, Garry Tan, Kyle Vogt, and researchers from OpenAI, DeepMind, MSL, Recursive, and Thinking Machines.
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to own how Odyssey’s technology becomes a coherent, usable, and powerful product in the hands of developers and partners. You will define and drive the roadmap across product experience, platform capabilities, and applied research; translate real-world usage into clear priorities; and ensure the company is building the right things, in the right order.
You will operate with significant scope and trust, working directly with the leadership and partnering closely with research and engineering. This role requires strong product judgment, execution discipline, and comfort operating with ambiguity.
The right person thinks in systems, has strong opinions, and can hold both people and plans accountable.
Product Ownership & Roadmap
Own and drive the product roadmap across developer experience, platform abstractions, and applied research.
Define product priorities grounded in real developer behavior, not hypothetical use cases.
Ensure clarity and alignment across teams on what is being built and why.
Developer & Customer Insight
Study how developers actually use Odyssey; what they build, where they struggle, and what breaks.
Partner directly with customers and external developers; run case studies and deep dives into real applications.
Turn observed usage into concrete product, system, and model improvements.
Execution & Program Management
Drive execution across research, applied engineering, and platform teams.
Set clear goals, milestones, and success metrics; ensure accountability and follow-through.
Bring structure and operating cadence to complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Product–Research Interface
Translate user and product signals into insights that meaningfully inform research direction and prioritization.
Help shape how world models are productized and understood, grounded in real behavior rather than theory.
Identify leverage points where small product or system changes unlock outsized developer success.
You feel passionate about frontier research problems and building in fresh domains like world models.
You’ve owned and shipped technically complex products end-to-end, and you’re accountable for outcomes.
You’re comfortable operating at the intersection of research, engineering, and real users.
You bring strong program management instincts and can drive clarity, momentum, and delivery.
You have sharp product judgment and are confident forming and defending strong opinions.
You can reason from messy, ambiguous signals to clear decisions and priorities.
You think like a buyer; you can plausibly imagine yourself as a user of Odyssey’s product surface.
Our staff is expected to be in office at least three times a week. A lot of our progress comes from working through problems together, and we want you in the room for that.
