**What you’ll do**
* Identify **interesting, tractable research questions** and turn them into experiments.
* Build models and research workflows across **structured, unstructured, and temporal data.**
* Use modern ML and AI systems to **find patterns, test hypotheses, and discover things we didn’t know to look for.**
* Design experiments carefully, distinguish real signal from noise, and **measure whether ideas actually work.**
* Work closely with engineers to turn promising research into **reliable systems.**
* Own research end-to-end: **find the question, design the test, analyze the result, and decide what comes next.**
**What we’re looking for**
* You have **unusually high initiative**: you find important questions and pursue them without waiting for someone to hand you a research agenda.
* You’re **analytically sharp and learn extremely quickly.**
* You’re strong in **statistics, machine learning, experimentation, or quantitative research.**
* You’re comfortable writing code and using it as a tool for thinking.
* You reason from first principles, challenge your own assumptions, and care deeply about **whether an idea survives contact with data.**
* Curiosity, intensity, and judgment matter much more to us than credentials or years of experience.
### Your first 30 days
* **First week:** learn how we work, find an interesting question, and start testing it.
* **By 15 days:** take ownership of a meaningful research problem end-to-end, including deciding how to measure whether the idea works.
* **By 30 days:** we want you independently identifying promising directions and driving research that materially expands what the team understands or can do.
You’ll have the autonomy and resources to do some of the **best work of your life.**
