The Men’s Social & Community Manager is the person who keeps Buck Mason's men's social channels running every day while standing up events to build community. You'll own the calendar and the posting, write the captions, answer the comments and DMs, run our creator program day to day, produce our events from guest list to teardown, and report back on what's working. The brand team sets the direction. You make it real on social and through our events.
It's an executional role with a high bar for taste for someone who’s product obsessed. Every caption, reply, creator pick, and guest list is a judgment call about what Buck Mason sounds and looks like, and we need someone who gets those calls right without a lot of back and forth. You'll work with the brand team and alongside Creative, Retail, Ecommerce, and Customer Experience.
Social strategy and channel management
Own the men's social content calendar across all channels, aligned to product launches, campaigns, store openings, and seasonal moments.
Help shape channel-by-channel strategy with the brand team: what each platform is for, what we post there, and how often. Then execute it.
Publish daily, manage the queue, and keep every post on-brand in tone, typography, and image quality.
Stay on top of platform changes and emerging formats, and propose tests worth running.
Content and voice
Write captions, scripts, replies, and copy in the Buck Mason voice
Partner with Creative on social-first photo and video, contributing to briefs and shot lists; capture content yourself when the moment calls for it.
Build repeatable series and formats that give the men's feed a point of view.
Community
Respond to comments and DMs daily in the brand voice, and route product and order issues to Customer Experience with context.
Track sentiment, recurring questions, and product feedback, and share what you hear with Design, Retail, and Ecommerce weekly.
Events
Produce Buck Mason's men's events end to end.
Curate the invite list. Know who should be in the room, from loyal customers and local tastemakers to creators and press, and get them there.
Build the vibe: concept, venue, music, food and drink, run of show, and the details that make it feel like us and not like a brand event.
Own the logistics: budget, vendors, staffing, RSVPs, and day-of production, so everything goes off without a hitch.
Capture it for social use in coordination with the Creative team and our event photographer.
Partnerships and influencers
Source and manage day-to-day relationships with creators, stylists, and tastemakers whose audiences match ours: outreach, gifting, scheduling, and content review, with support from the brand team on contracts and budget.
Coordinate with Paid Media on which organic content and creator assets should be amplified.
Measurement
Own weekly social reporting: reach, engagement, follower growth, community health, and traffic attributed to social.
Contribute to the monthly brand marketing readout with clear takeaways on what's working, and adjust the calendar accordingly.
Work toward quarterly goals set with the brand team.
2–4 years running or supporting social and community for a consumer brand, ideally in menswear, lifestyle, or DTC retail.
Examples of accounts you've worked on and content you've made, with results you can speak to.
Excellent writing. You can land a caption in one line and a reply in a sentence, and you know when to say nothing.
A sharp eye for photography, typography, and taste that fits a brand built on restraint.
Fluency in Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest, including native creation tools, and working knowledge of social management and listening platforms (e.g. Sprout, Later, Dash Hudson).
Comfort with data: you can read a dashboard, pull a weekly report, and say in plain terms what the numbers mean.
Some experience working with creators or influencer partnerships.
Event experience. You've produced or coordinated brand events, you're calm on the day, and you sweat the details nobody notices until they're wrong.
Organized and reliable. You can run a calendar, juggle a product launch and a store opening in the same week, and keep the account fed.
A real interest in menswear: how clothes are made, how they fit, and the men who wear them. You know the difference between a Pima tee and a slub, and you have opinions on both.
Experience in menswear: you understand the customer face to face.
Basic photo and video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Lightroom).
