About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Mine Technical Officer to join the Maintenance & Outages team at the AGL Loy Yang Mine. This highly skilled position works collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient outcomes across Mine electrical and control systems. Working a 9-day fortnight, you will provide specialist technical support for mine electrical and control systems while contributing to plant upgrades, modifications, and new projects. The role also participates in an availability roster that provides 24-hour technical support to mine operations.
Key responsibilities
About you
You are an experienced electrical and control systems professional with strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair capability. You are self-motivated, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a dynamic heavy-industry environment. A continuous improvement mindset is essential, together with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
