As a PM Engineer you will work in conjunction with the controller, to maximise the operational availability of equipment for the customer through timely and efficient PM servicing and inspections working in commercial properties within the region, identifying possible issue’s which may impact availability as well as being tasked with carrying out minor repairs as requested. During this role you will be an ambassador for safety, by servicing the products in a manner which promotes safety for self and customer.

To attend customer locations as advised by controller, to carry out preventive maintenance servicing. To liaise with service controller and customer both at the outset and as work progresses. To ensure that all work is carried out to high standards and that equipment is safe before handing back to customer. Ensure equipment is serviced in line with manufacturers recommendations and that all associated paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner including recording customer signatures. Take proper care of company vehicle and equipment.
Specific Skills:
The job requires a basic knowledge of Diesel and / or Gas generators and how to safely carry out routine maintenance of that product. This should include a Fundamental knowledge of the 2 main product elements, the engine (both diesel and gas powered) and the alternator.
Knowledge:
Either direct experience (around 3 years) of working with electric power generation (diesel or Gas generators) or working in a related engineering function, e.g. car mechanic, lift truck, HGV fitter or a formal apprenticeship qualification that includes at least C&G level I Formal training in health & Safety desirable but not essential as further training will be given.
This position is a great opportunity for engineers with transferable skills looking to get into the plant industry. Training for the role will be provided, there are opportunities for employees in this role to progress into a field service position in the future following further development.
