We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure & Network Engineering Team. This individual will report into our Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure & Network Engineering and is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of the company’s network infrastructure. This role partners closely with other IT team members to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure connectivity across corporate offices, fulfillment centers, and cloud environments. In a growing, mid-sized business environment, the Network Engineer will take a hands-on approach, contributing across networking, security, voice, and infrastructure operations while serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues. This is a remote position open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. While this role is fully remote, there is a strong preference for the selected individual to live within reasonable proximity to our headquarters in Melville, NY, or one of our fulfillment centers in Atlanta, GA; Canal Winchester, OH; Dayton, NJ; Farmers Branch, TX; or Reno, NV. Occasional on-site presence may be needed for team collaboration, equipment staging, or to support critical operational needs.
This position also requires up to 10% travel annually to our headquarters and fulfillment center locations for internal meetings, in-person projects, and other business needs. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits – our doors are always open.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with time zone flexibility. Additional off-hours support may be needed for scheduled maintenance or a related issue.
Base Salary: $88,083 – $110,103 per year
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support resilient, high-availability, and cost-effective LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN solutions to meet business continuity and uptime requirements
Analyze, configure, and maintain core network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
Participate in capacity planning, traffic analysis, and performance tuning, making recommendations for upgrades and improvements
Plan, implement, and document network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities while minimizing business impact
Monitor network health using management and monitoring tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues
Provide escalation-level troubleshooting for network and related infrastructure issues, restoring services quickly and accurately
Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs (site-to-site and user-based), Zero Trust solutions, and security appliances
Enforce network security policies, monitor access, and support secure connectivity to businesscritical systems
Maintain awareness of PCI compliance, security standards, and industry best practices, assisting with audits and remediation efforts
Collaborate with IT and security teams on incident response and vulnerability mitigation
Design, deploy, and support Voice, VoIP, and video conferencing solutions
Assist with phone system deployments, configuration, and ongoing support
Support collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Slack from a network and connectivity perspective
Assist in the design and support of virtual server environments, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS, and network segmentation
Work closely with development, cloud, and system support teams to ensure smooth operation of servers, applications, and endpoints
Leverage scripting , automation and AI-driven tools to improve network operations and reduce manual tasks
Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, standards, and support procedures
Maintain inventory of network equipment, licenses, subscriptions, and maintenance contracts
Engage with third-party vendors, carriers, and service providers and assist with managing those vendor relationships
Recommend and implement improvements to reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
Assist with maintaining and supporting telecom rooms, server racks, UPS systems, and fiber/copper cabling infrastructure across all locations
Participate in occasional after-hours or on-call support for maintenance, upgrades, or incident response
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3+ years of experience with designing, implementing, and supporting corporate network environments
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and Zero Trust concepts
Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and wireless technologies, preferably Cisco and/or HPE Aruba
Experience with next-generation firewalls, remote access/VPN technologies, and network security best practices
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SNMP, TLS, and routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP
Experience using network monitoring and management tools
Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, and authentication services
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team
Customer-focused attitude with a passion for helping others
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting e-commerce environments or high-availability networks
Familiarity with cloud networking, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with Microsoft 365 networking and integrations
Knowledge of endpoint security solutions, including antivirus and EDR platforms like CrowdStrike
Experience with AI-driven network management, automation, and monitoring tools
Familiarity with Ethernet and fiber cabling standards and best practices
Relevant certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, HPE Aruba, Microsoft, or similar)
