WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer with networking, monitoring, and firewall expertise to assist our team in building leading-edge enterprise, cloud, and datacenter networks. You bring a background in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting global networks in a multi-vendor environment. You are passionate about automation, speed, reliability, scalability, security, and the impact your team can have on the business through modern networking infrastructure.
Support the design, development, documentation, implementation, automation, monitoring and operation of enterprise networks
Perform day-to-day operations and support the engineering team efforts on the continuous improvement of services to internal customers
Work with networking hardware e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Arista and software vendors e.g. Infobox, Opengear, etc. to support and improve existing solutions
Respond to issues ensuring that all problems are worked on until the issue is resolved. Conduct post-mortems capturing insights and actions.
Work closely with the cross-functional teams to improve the infrastructure stability
Collaborate with team members to support knowledge transfer and operational handoff of implemented solutions.
This role also requires adeptness in managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and coordinating with external parties to meet project objectives
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to support network incidents and operational issues
You are required to come to the office 3 days a week to perform your duties.
Bachelor degree in network engineering, information technology, computer science, and/or related field
Wireless network experience in a large enterprise with 1000+ employees
Familiarity with next-generation (application-aware) firewalls
Experience with managing and configuring Palo Alto Network firewalls, including the use of Panorama in AWS for centralized management. Additional experience in physical deployments at data centers is desirable, encompassing initial configurations, setting up remote access, and transitioning to Panorama for ongoing management.
Experience using Cisco enterprise products including WLC, DNA Center/Catalyst Control Center, and ISE
Operational knowledge of DNS, DHCP and IPAM management through Infoblox
Experience with high-speed large data movement to/from public clouds and branch sites
CCNA or equivalent experience
Support and tune network and systems security in a multi-site environment, including network segmentation
Experience with high speed large data movement to/from public clouds and branch sites
Skill in creating and maintaining comprehensive and detailed documentation, including network diagrams and data matrices, for team libraries and project archives.
Experience in preparing documents for change ticket submissions and presenting to review boards is preferred.
Ability to drive projects from conception to completion, including crafting detailed deployment plans, setting timelines with clear milestones, and overseeing execution.
