Established in 2013, Key City Vision Center is an independent practice known for exceptional, personalized eye care and premium eyewear in a welcoming environment where patients are treated like people, not numbers. The practice combines trusted professional care, experienced guidance, quality products, and genuine relationships to help every patient see better and feel confident. With an established and loyal patient base, five cross-trained employees, modern diagnostic technology, and a fun, supportive office culture, the practice offers a strong foundation for an optometrist who values individualized care and independent practice.
What you'll do:
As an Optometrist at Key City Vision Center, you will provide comprehensive, personalized eye care to an established patient base while maintaining the high level of service for which the practice is known. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive eye examinations and vision evaluations; diagnosing and managing common ocular conditions; providing spectacle prescriptions and individualized vision recommendations; performing contact lens examinations, fittings, evaluations, and follow-up care; educating patients about eye health, treatment options, lens choices, and preventive care; using modern diagnostic technology; maintaining accurate and timely documentation; and collaborating with experienced optical and support staff. The experienced team manages much of the non-clinical patient experience, allowing you to focus primarily on excellent patient care. This position offers 30-40 hours per week.
Who you are:
You're a personable, patient-focused optometrist who values individualized care and takes pride in building strong relationships with patients. You bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to thorough, high-quality eye care. You work well with an experienced team while remaining comfortable practicing independently, taking ownership of patient care, and helping shape the future growth and direction of the practice. Experience is preferred, but established optometrists and newer graduates who are a strong fit for the practice and community are encouraged to apply.
Why you'll love Dubuque:
