About the role
Job Summary
The role is responsible for processing of assigned product design projects through the design stage to handover to production including bare shaft pump and packaging, observing the need to apply cost effective solutions and ensuring costs are controlled within estimates provided at the tendering stage.
Job Responsibilities
- Undertake responsibility for design and supporting activities, coordinate with R&D department preparing technical documents for new product development and product transfer.
- Create BOM for BSP and package and release the BOM in SAP for each order and contract, include creating 3D piping drawings for workshop guideline.
- Issue specifications for the selection, specification and ordering of factored equipment such as mechanical seals, seal systems and couplings etc.
- Give support to other departments on engineering problems including the forwarding of Engineering proposition data to R&D, Advance Engineering and Sales.
Qualifications
- Typically a University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience within related industry including knowledge of industry practices & standards .
- Familiar with API 610/682 and related industrial standard.
- Design and drawing skills, Inventor/NX and 3D softwares are prior.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
