Remote only
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Paid Media Buyer (Meta & TikTok), Financial Education based in South Africa.
This is a remote freelance opportunity focused on driving qualified leads for live financial education and trading masterclass campaigns.
You will take ownership of paid acquisition across Meta and TikTok, from campaign setup and audience targeting through testing, optimization, and reporting.
The role combines performance marketing with hands-on landing page, tracking, and conversion-flow work.
You will work with an initial monthly advertising budget of R10,000–R25,000, with the opportunity to shape campaign strategy based on early performance data.
Because financial education is a restricted advertising category, careful attention to platform policies, compliant messaging, and risk-sensitive campaign execution is essential.
You will collaborate remotely with an administrative team while receiving creatives, brand materials, account access, and lead follow-up support.
The initial engagement is designed around setup, testing, and rollout, with potential for continued campaign work based on performance and operational needs.
Build, launch, and manage lead-generation campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok targeting South African audiences.
Set up and optimize landing pages using Systeme.io, WordPress, or comparable tools, as well as direct-to-WhatsApp or email conversion flows.
Implement and optimize pixels, conversion tracking, and campaign events following the initial tracking setup.
Monitor cost per lead and other campaign performance indicators, identify optimization opportunities, and adjust campaigns based on testing results.
Provide guidance on compliant ad copy, targeting, positioning, and conversion layouts for financial education campaigns.
Ensure campaigns comply with Meta and TikTok advertising policies, particularly restrictions affecting financial education and trading-related content.
Work with supplied video, graphic, copy, and offer assets to develop and launch approved campaigns.
Coordinate with the internal team to ensure campaigns, creatives, copy, and lead-handling processes are aligned before launch.
Provide concise weekly performance summaries covering campaign activity, lead generation, and relevant performance metrics.
Respond appropriately to ad or account restrictions by supporting compliance appeals, campaign adjustments, or backup campaign setups where required.
Proven experience generating leads through Meta and TikTok advertising, supported by campaign examples or case studies showing spend, lead volume, and cost-per-lead results.
Hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns from setup through optimization and reporting.
Previous experience advertising financial education, trading, or similarly restricted content, with a practical understanding of platform compliance requirements.
Strong knowledge of Meta and TikTok advertising policies, including restrictions around financial claims, income guarantees, and promises of profit.
Experience building or optimizing landing pages using Systeme.io, WordPress, or similar platforms.
Experience creating or managing WhatsApp-based lead-generation and conversion flows.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use campaign data to make practical optimization decisions.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage campaign responsibilities with limited supervision.
Clear communication skills, including the ability to provide concise weekly performance updates.
