About Us
Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is the intelligent platform for travel and spend management. Built to tackle the time-consuming, manual work that gets in the way of real work, our tools automate everything from travel bookings to expenses, invoice processing, and more. By eliminating this shadow work that wastes hours, erodes morale, and saps innovation, we're on a mission to power real work, with real impact.
We're trusted by more than 12,000 companies worldwide, including Bolt, GoCardless, and Fabletics, and we're tackling the 7 hours of lost productivity per employee each week, a $1.7 trillion problem.
Founded in 2015, Perk has grown into a global company of more than 1,800 people across 12 offices globally, with headquarters in London and Boston. We combine innovation, control, and simplicity to transform how businesses work and how people feel at work.
At Perk, we're driven by our values, like being an owner, delivering a 7-star experience, and working as one team. We value curiosity, purpose, and mindset, not just knowledge, to unlock the power in your potential. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for anyone looking to build a career in the travel industry. Payments & Refunds Specialists are responsible for delivering AmTrav’s highest standard of service, ensuring travelers’ critical issues are resolved efficiently and with care. This is a back-office role—you won’t be working directly with clients, but instead partnering with hotels and vendors to make sure every traveler’s needs are met. Success in this role comes down to strong communication, sharp prioritization, and a genuine team-first mindset. If you thrive managing multiple accounts, juggling timelines, and keeping things moving behind the scenes, this one’s for you.
What You'll Do
Make a high volume of outbound calls to hotels and travel vendors on behalf of our travelers.
Contact hotels to obtain folios, receipts, and other required documentation.
Follow up with travelers and travel administrators to collect updated payment information when needed.
Create and distribute pre-authorization forms, including prepaid payment forms and virtual credit cards.
Coordinate directly with hotels to resolve payment issues and assist with credit card reversals.
Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates to ensure a seamless traveler experience.
What We're Looking For
Previous travel industry experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate.
Spanish-language proficiency is a bonus but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to listen, empathize, and build rapport.
Comfortable receiving coaching and feedback in a performance-driven environment focused on continuous development.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with minimal supervision.
Proficient with Windows-based applications and comfortable working on a computer for extended periods.
A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude when interacting with both travelers and colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to meet performance goals and maintain a strong, reliable work history.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

AI at Perk
AI is embedded in how we work across every function. The tools you'll use day-to-day are AI-enabled so you can move faster and spend more time on the work that matters. In practice, that means using AI to research and prioritise accounts, draft and refine outreach, handle customer interactions more effectively, synthesise information, and cut through shadow work - the invisible tasks that pull people away from the work only they can do - so you can focus on relationships and outcomes.
