Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) organization is one of the company's fastest-growing and most innovative teams, crafting a first-in-class digital experience for customers and partners wherever they connect with Cisco. The CX Platform supports the diverse needs of the organization through a platform-centric approach and is being built with emerging technologies, including predictive and generative AI, to drive greater customer success.
Within this organization, our high-impact quality engineering team operates across the US and India, dedicated to validating and optimizing the complex, data-intensive networking and cloud platforms that power CX Engineering. We are a fast-moving, data-driven group that prides itself on identifying performance bottlenecks early, leveraging next-generation AI-assisted automation, and utilizing deep telemetry to drive proactive system reliability. We thrive on teamwork and ownership, ensuring that the technology we build today remains scalable and resilient for the future.
As a Performance Test Engineer, you will architect and execute comprehensive testing suites—including load, stress, and endurance benchmarks—across UI, API, and back-end layers to ensure maximum system scalability. You will diagnose complex bottlenecks within Linux, enterprise networking, and AWS environments while embedding automated performance guardrails directly into CI/CD pipelines to catch regressions early. A key part of your role involves innovating testing workflows by leveraging AI tools and agentic frameworks to accelerate test case generation and create scalable, no-code harnesses. You will also translate granular system metrics and logs into actionable optimization strategies that guide architectural improvements across the engineering organization. This role is exceptionally exciting because you sit at the vanguard of performance engineering, using cutting-edge AI to modernize testing while solving mission-critical bottlenecks that directly impact our global customer experience.
