Whether you're solving problems, building market-leading products or exploring how AI can make work smarter, you’ll have the freedom to create and the trust to deliver.
If you’re ready to grow, shape the future of fintech and join an ambitious, high-performing team, this is the place for you.
Your impact
The Infrastructure Governance team within the developer enablement domain sits at the heart of Mollie's infrastructure. We own and maintain Terraform as our IaC system and play a crucial role in ensuring our infrastructure is highly reliable and compliant with industry standards like PCI-DSS, sitting directly in the critical payment path and communication layer between external works and our platform. We also manage critical components that support all of Mollie’s infrastructure. That means what we build and maintain isn't just technical infrastructure; it's the foundation that keeps payments moving safely and reliably for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.
As a Platform Engineer on this team, you'll be working on Mollie's Cloud Platform (MCP), our flavour of GCP, enabling product teams to create real value. Your work will span critical cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, and system reliability. You'll collaborate closely with system and software engineers, and interface with teams across compute, database engineering, edge, and networking. The impact is immediate and tangible: the systems you build and maintain keep Mollie's payments running.
This is a role for someone who cares about quality for engineers and non-engineers alike and who brings a genuine passion for automation, distributed systems, and getting things right at scale.
What you’ll ship
Design, build and maintain critical cloud infrastructure on GCP including Load Balancers, VPC, CDN, cross-region routes, and API Gateway, that keeps Mollie's payment systems running reliably.
Drive automation across the platform using Go and Python, reducing manual toil and building systems that scale without friction.
Own and evolve infrastructure as code using Terraform, managing a broad set of infrastructure resources with consistency and confidence.
Set up and maintain observability across team-owned projects, using tools like Datadog, Google Cloud Logging, and Sentry. So issues are caught early and resolved fast.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define, set and maintain SLOs and SLAs that meet the needs of our business and our merchants.
Ship new products and platform improvements alongside system and software engineers, balancing speed of delivery with a high bar for reliability and security.
What you’ll bring
Extensive hands-on knowledge of GCP and public cloud infrastructure. You're comfortable owning critical systems at scale
Solid experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code. You think in systems and know how to manage infrastructure with precision
Strong Kubernetes experience, you understand how to run and operate containerised workloads in production environments
Proficiency in Python, you can write automation and tooling that makes the platform easier to operate and extend
A track record of working in environments where reliability and security aren't afterthoughts. You know how to balance shipping fast with keeping systems well-operated and monitored
A passion for automation and distributed systems. You default to building scalable, repeatable solutions rather than one-off fixes
Grow your way
At Mollie, growth is personal. We believe everyone should have the chance to develop their skills, explore new challenges and shape their career on their own terms.
You’ll get regular feedback and performance reviews to support your development, with fair and transparent salary reviews along the way. Many Mollies move into new roles or take on new projects to stretch themselves, and we actively hire from within to help you take the next step.
No matter if you’re aiming for promotion, exploring a different career path or building new skills, you’ll be supported with the tools, trust and opportunities to grow your way.
Unlock your full potential and join us to eliminate financial bureaucracy
If you're excited by the idea of building what’s next, for yourself and for thousands of businesses across Europe, we’d love to hear from you.
