Graduate Engineer Trainee – Manuals Repair Engineering

This position is for a Graduate Engineer with knowledge of Aircraft Engine Nacelle and technical expertise in understanding Field issues and associated repairs across multiple commercial Nacelle programs for Collins Advanced Structures Aftermarket in a highly customer focused environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work with Aftermarket Manuals team prepare Nacelle One-off Repair document to support Licensing requirements and deliver Repair package to customer. 
Creation/Revision of Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Aircraft Maintenance

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical engineering.
Technical understanding of manufacturing techniques for metallic and composite components for the aircraft industry.
Knowledge of inspection methodologies for metallic and composite parts.
Able to communicate findings and make presentations to the original equipment manufacturers (OEM)

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical engineering.
Tool knowledge on Catia, Iso draw, Arbortext Editor and Common Source Database (CSDB), or any CSDB Systems.
Knowledge on PLM tools like Teamcenter and Ennovia
Knowledge on S1000D and Simplified Technical English Issue 6
Good oral and writing skills, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM systems and practices
Must be able to communicate effectively with internal customers
Willingness to work in extremely tight schedules, while still not neglecting the value of attention to details and subsequently delivering high quality work.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
