About the role
As a Principal Application Engineer - Salesforce, you'll be responsible for the administration, support and ongoing security uplift of AGL's Salesforce ecosystem. You'll play a key role in maintaining platform health, managing user access and permissions, supporting deployments and integrations, and ensuring compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
Working across multiple strategic initiatives including Retail Transformation, OVO and ConnectNow, you'll help balance business enablement with strong risk management and robust platform controls.
What You'll Be Doing
Administer and maintain Salesforce environments across production and non-production instances.
Manage users, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing models and access controls.
Configure and support Salesforce Flows, Reports, Dashboards, Validation Rules and Lightning components.
Support release management, deployments and CI/CD practices.
Monitor platform performance, integrations and operational health.
Conduct security reviews across configurations, APIs, integrations and access models.
Partner with Cyber Security teams on risk assessments, audits, vulnerability management and incident investigations.
Drive governance, identity and access management, and secure platform design practices.
Maintain documentation, standards and processes to support ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
Experience as a Salesforce Administrator in an enterprise environment.
Strong expertise in Salesforce security, governance and access management.
Experience managing profiles, permission sets, role hierarchies and sharing models.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Flows, reports, dashboards and platform administration.
Knowledge of application security principles including authentication, authorisation, RBAC and least-privilege design.
Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs and connected applications.
Exposure to identity and access management tools such as Azure AD and CyberArk.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to balance security, governance and business outcomes.
