About us
At Dyson, we are driven by technology, engineering excellence and the ambition to solve problems others ignore. Our Singapore Advanced Manufacturing site plays a critical role in delivering highly automated manufacturing capability, and we are looking for a Process Engineer to provide process engineering support across day-to-day operations, NPI readiness, process improvement and corrective actions.
This role combines hands-on manufacturing support with data-led process ownership. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and NPI teams to strengthen process stability, yield, scrap, OEE, quality and build plan performance.
About the role
As a Process Engineer, you will own assigned manufacturing processes and provide day-to-day engineering support to keep production safe, stable and efficient. Using production data and structured problem-solving, you will improve quality, yield, scrap and process capability, maintain effective controls and documentation, and support corrective actions and NPI readiness with Production, Quality, Maintenance and NPI teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Process Performance & Ownership
- Monitor and improve process performance, including yield, scrap, process capability (Cp/Cpk) and quality metrics for assigned manufacturing processes.
- Review and analyse production data to identify trends, process variations and performance gaps, and support corrective actions.
- Maintain process stability through effective process controls and continuous monitoring.
- Process Documentation & Risk Management
- Develop, maintain and improve SOPs, Work Instructions, PFMEAs and Control Plans.
- Conduct process risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate quality and operational risks.
- Ensure process documentation remains accurate, current and compliant with company standards.
- Process Improvement & Statistical Control
- Analyse process performance and identify sources of variation affecting quality, yield and productivity.
- Characterise, validate, stabilise and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
- Use SPC, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, DOE and Root Cause Analysis to strengthen process capability and efficiency.
- Non-Conformance & Scrap Management
- Review non-conforming materials and support disposition decisions, including release, rework and scrap.
- Monitor rejection and scrap trends and drive actions to reduce manufacturing losses.
- Investigate issues using 8D, DMAIC and Root Cause Analysis, and verify CAPA effectiveness.
- New Product Introduction & Production Readiness
- Support process development, risk assessments, validation and production readiness.
- Participate in process trials, equipment qualification and validation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product launches and production ramp-up.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and NPI teams to resolve process and quality issues.
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing operations.
- Communicate process issues, findings and improvement actions to relevant stakeholders.
About you
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1-5 year(s) of manufacturing or engineering experience; high-volume manufacturing is advantageous.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, DOE, FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficient in Excel or equivalent data-analysis tools; Lean or Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous.
- Analytical, collaborative and self-motivated, with strong attention to quality and safety.
