The Opportunity
The National Training Team is expanding its remit to support the growing water market in Australia—including desalination, water treatment, and wastewater treatment—ensuring the development of a compliant and capable workforce equipped to deliver these projects efficiently.
We are seeking a Process Engineer – Technical Training to support the optimisation, standardisation, and safe execution of our operational processes, with a strong focus on technical documentation and workforce capability.
This role requires the application of chemical/process engineering principles to improve system performance, while developing clear, structured procedures and training materials to ensure consistent execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams both locally and internationally, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and effectively embedded across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and optimise chemical and operational processes to improve efficiency, safety, and performance outcomes.
Identify process improvement opportunities and conduct root cause analysis to resolve operational issues.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and process workflows.
Design and support process-based training materials to enable effective knowledge transfer and workforce capability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global stakeholders, to support alignment and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline
with experience in process optimisation within operational or production environments.
Demonstrated experience developing technical documentation, SOPs, or process workflows in a structured environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex processes into clear, practical documentation.
Spanish language skills highly desirable, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams in global environments.
