Drive efficient sourcing and stronger supplier partnerships for the components that go into Philips' life-changing health technology.
Your role
Own one or more procurement categories end-to-end within HPM Clinical Applications & Devices — managing the full component lifecycle, including end-of-life (EOL) monitoring, mitigation planning, and supplier qualification for alternatives.
Lead sourcing activities for project Bills of Materials (BOMs) and RFPs/RFQs: run cost analyses and negotiations, drive use of preferred suppliers and approved technologies, and support Supplier Project Agreements together with Legal and Quality.
Bring procurement engineering into the project room — review technical drawings and product specs, partner with Engineering, Industrialization, and OPEX to embed DfX, cost challenge, simplification, and platforming opportunities into the design.
Build and maintain Product Cost Roadmaps using cost models, benchmarks, and market data; track progress through KPIs and structured reporting for cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
Operate with high autonomy in a global, cross-functional governance model (team across Germany, US, and Brazil), ensuring compliance with procurement policies, ISO quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
You're the right fit if:
You have a bachelor's degree in industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering, Operations, Business, or equivalent (master's is a plus), with 4+ years of relevant experience in Procurement, Engineering, R&D, or related areas.
You are comfortable reading technical drawings, understanding manufacturing processes, and working with an end-to-end factory-floor view of product realization.
Your skills include strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, cost analysis, and project management — with strong command of Excel, Word (complex contract markups), and PowerPoint (executive-level communication). MS Project is a plus.
You bring analytical thinking, negotiation capability, and technical curiosity, and you can influence stakeholders across different seniority levels in a global matrix.
You have strong English communication skills (written and spoken) for daily interaction with global suppliers and senior stakeholders; Portuguese is required for local collaboration.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
This is an office role based in Varginha, Brazil.
