Our analysts are deeply embedded into the business and will interact with individuals at every level, from managers to our leadership team.
The role
We’re looking for a Product Analyst to join our Joint Current Account team.
You will be joining the team as they launch a new product that is fundamental to the bank’s future growth ambitions. We operate like a startup within the wider bank; we’re obsessive about our mission to build a powerfully simple to use and feature-rich everyday account that customers will love.
As a Product Analyst, you will develop a detailed understanding of who our customers are and how they use the account, guiding product development towards innovative features and experiences and owning customer outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced environment where you can have an outsized impact in the early stages of a new product. With so many decisions to inform, quick high conviction directional insights will sometimes be more valuable than achieving 100% precision with every analysis.
A day in the life
- Partnering with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and Analysts across Zopa, delivering trusted insights daily to inform decisions and improve the Joint Account product
- Designing and evaluating statistically rigorous experiments to support rapid iterative product development as we test our way through uncertainty
- Defining metrics that will be our source of truth for product performance, quality of user experience, and progress on key results
- Owning your analytics roadmap, proactively identifying opportunities for further analysis and prioritising the highest impact work
- Building at the cutting edge of AI-enabled analytics, developing new tools for natural language insight generation and powerful internal data apps
About you
- Technical: Experience in an analytical role with strong data manipulation skills in SQL and/or Python. You’re comfortable getting stuck into large datasets and extracting insight that drives decision making
- Delivery: You’ve worked in a fast-paced environment (e.g. fintech, start-up, consulting). You prioritise for impact and strike the right balance between precision and effort depending on the context
- Clarity: You thrive in an environment with unstructured, open-ended problems. You’re able isolate signal from the noise and bring clarity to decision-makers
- Influence: You communicate clearly and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re not afraid to challenge where appropriate, but you always approach others with respect and sensitivity
- Motivation: You are self-starter with a bias to action who doesn’t wait to be told what to do. You’re excited about building innovative banking products
Nice to have
- You’ve conducted experiments such as A/B tests and run causal analyses to isolate statistically significant impacts of product changes and other events
- You're an expert at creating intuitive data visualisations and self-serve data products that tell a story
- You’re used to working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across different disciplines
- You’ve defined and built metrics to track product performance on conversion, activation, retention and engagement
- You have experience working with consumer-facing fintech (or similar) digital products
At Zopa we value flexible ways of working.
We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week.
You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one.
*Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice
Diversity Statement
Zopa is proud to offer a workplace free from discrimination. Diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to better products for our customers and a unique company culture for our people. We are made up of nearly 50 nationalities, have a DE&I forum made up of Zopians wanting to make a difference and we are proud of our culture where everyone can bring their full self to work. Our approach to DE&I is reflected in our hiring process so please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments.
Our approach to AI in interviews
At Zopa, AI isn't something we're testing out — it's part of how we work every day. As a proud partner of Jobs 2030, we're committed to building AI fluency across our workforce, and we expect Zopians to use AI as part of how they do their jobs.
Because of that, we want to be transparent about how we think about AI use during our hiring process.
Behavioural and competency-based interviews: please don't use AI. These conversations are designed to understand you — your experiences, your judgment, and how you've approached real situations. An AI-generated answer can't tell us that. What it can do is get in the way of us finding out whether we're the right fit for each other.
Technical interviews: it depends on the role. Some technical stages actively welcome AI use, others don't. Your Talent Partner will let you know what's expected at each stage. Where AI is part of the assessment, we'll be interested not just in the outcome, but in how you used it – the tools you chose, your reasoning, and the decisions you made along the way.
