About Lumilens
At Lumilens we are building the critical photonics infrastructure that powers tomorrow’s AI supercomputing. From chip-to-chip optical interconnects to scalable photonic engines, Lumilens is unlocking a new era of computing—faster, cooler, and massively more efficient. We’re a well-funded startup backed by Mayfield and led by veterans who’ve built and scaled some of the most transformative technologies in the industry. This isn’t incremental innovation—it’s a ground-floor opportunity to rethink the optical layer from the silicon up. You’ll work alongside a team of world-class engineers solving some of the hardest challenges in optics, systems, and scale. Every line of code, every design decision, every breakthrough you help deliver—will shape the infrastructure of tomorrow.
If you're looking for mission, momentum, and the chance to make an outsized impact—jump on the rocket ship. We’re just getting started.

In this individual contributor role, you will partner closely with product management, program management, application engineering, and commercial teams to help define product priorities, support customer engagement, and drive execution against business goals. You will contribute to product lifecycle management, market analysis, and cross-functional coordination across high-speed optical interconnect solutions, with particular emphasis on pluggable optics and next-generation 800G and 1.6T transceiver platforms for cloud, AI, and optical networking customers.
Key Responsibilities
Own and drive execution of the co-packaged optical solution product line, aligning product strategy, technical requirements, development milestones, and production launch objectives.
Partner with engineering, product, customer-facing teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to identify technical gaps, define clear solutions, and keep programs on track against committedlaunch timelines.
Lead manufacturing partner engagement to ensure completion of key design, reliability, design verification, compliance testing, and reporting activities prior to product launch.
Drive cross-functional alignment across Photonics Design, Hardware Design, Packaging, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Product Marketing, and Supply Chain to support robust product development and transfer to production.
Lead internal readiness planning to ensure materials, suppliers, technical documentation, and operational requirements are in place to support ongoing customer program engagement.
Support supplier technical discussions by ensuring engineering and product teams have the models, technical details, requirements, and decision points needed for successful design execution.
Partner with engineering and operations to ensure qualified suppliers meet all component validation, reliability, quality, and production release requirements.
Prepare, present, and document technical reviews, product line updates, reliability reports, and risk assessments for internal leadership and customer-facing engagements.
