The world of Data Management is dynamic: customer expectations, regulatory requirements and the technological capabilities are continuously evolving. Hence, we need to keep track on the latest developments and adapt our Way of Working when this is required. This cannot be done in isolation, it requires bank wide collaboration amongst the full group of Data Management contributors in ING. In WB Lending we are part of the broader ING Data Ecosystem. We are Data Owner of all WB Lending Data in ING. Our Data is being used for different purposes; Business control (KYC, Regulatory), Data analysis & insights, Digitization efforts etc. We have high ambitions when it comes to Data and are looking for a driven Product Manager that can help us reach our ambitions

A Product Manager owns the “what” of a product domain – defining the vision, outcomes, and roadmap of the product(s) in scope to deliver value for clients, business, and stakeholders. They work end-to-end across the value chain, aligning diverse stakeholders and ensuring teams focus on outcomes, not outputs.

At this level, the Product Manager is a product creator, expected to take ownership of execution, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and collaborate effectively across roles. Success depends on the ability to follow through, resolve ambiguity, and coordinate with others to ensure delivery. A proactive mindset in identifying and removing delivery blockers is essential.

The team

You will be part of the Area Data Management & Platform services in Tribe Lending that is consisting of multiple teams – all linked to a different Data topic. You will be Product Manager for the team that is responsible for all WB Lending Data Analytics capabilities. This team plays a key role in translating Lending data into valuable insights for Lending Management, Lending Front Office, Lending Operations and Lending Tribe. They build scalable self-service solution that enabler multiple teams to find the insights they need. Members of the team are spread across multiple locations.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be entrusted to different activities and responsibilities

• You will design and drive the global vision of the WB Lending Analytics capabilities
• You are a major player in the strategic direction of the product and prioritize the elements to be delivered to carry out the evolution of the product (product backlog).
• You maximize the value delivered to end users by researching their needs in- and outside ING
• You are responsible for managing the relationship with stakeholders, creating the longer-term roadmap for your product and communicate the progress
• You are responsible for aligning and managing dependencies with other teams (f.e. SoR in Lending, LenDX platform, Capital & Model analytics)
• You decide on the priority of backlog by estimating the added value (financial value, customer expectation, cost, risk etc.)
• You ensure that appropriate knowledge is available in your squad and that all relevant processes and procedures are known and executed

• Proven track record of driving insights & analytics transformation and embed data culture in an organization
• >7 years of experience in analytics, agile WoW & delivery management
•  A growth mindset, someone who wants to drive change and work on digital innovation initiatives
• The ability to simplify complexity and drive operational excellence and the willingness to really understand the data
• Broad knowledge and deep practical experience in Data analytics an Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Strong understanding of technology (IT architecture, programming languages and applications knowledge) and the broader ING data landscape
• A pro-active, creative and an out-of-the box thinker
• An open and transparent communicator that can take people along while maintaining the overview
