Ensure the use of quality improvement programs and monitoring the product quality and scrap rate: error analyses, Continuous Improvement Process (Scrap Problem Solving), tracking remedial and improvement measures as specified by the QM
Draw up and implement local BU quality standards in coordination with BU Production Quality (quality-related work instructions, list of limit samples, etc.)
Advise and train the technical departments in all matters relating to quality
Assist the technical department with customer audits for the Business Unit, incl. monitoring the remedial measures
Initiate and coordinate the 8D process, incl. the associated internal documentation and the customer portals
Train the production team in quality related issues, i.e. use of SAP QM, work instructions, quality philosophy etc.
Report KPIs in the assigned area
Carry out audits (multi-shift audits, process audits, 5S audits, LPA, etc.)
Assist the technical department with PFMEA
Required Qualifications
Associates degree in a technical field.
2 + years' experience in quality engineering or quality assurance within automotive manufacturing environment.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Additional Experience Preferred
Experience with IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management Systems
Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans and Process Flows
