Program Associate / Senior Associate – Marquee Brands

Business Overview:

Marquee Brands is a fast growing and dynamic consumer focused PE fund with offices in New York and LA currently seeking a talented Associate / Senior Associate with a passion for investing and a deep understanding of consumer brands and services. Marquee Brands sits within Neuberger, a 75 year old global investment firm with $613bn of AUM, including $121bn within Private Equity and $54bn within Private Credit.

Marquee Brands is dedicated to acquiring high quality consumer brands with proven heritage and resonance. Marquee seeks to create a diversified portfolio, which currently consists of 24 brands spanning fashion, active & outdoor, and home & culinary and includes some of the most well-known names in each space, such as Martha Stewart, Sur La Table, America’s Test Kitchen, Roberto Cavalli, BCBG, Ben Sherman and Dakine. Marquee Brands also has a significant media capability, creating long form linear TV content, short form video, books, magazines and digital subscription products for its brand portfolio.

Position Overview:

Marquee is looking for an Associate / Senior Associate to join the investment team and contribute to all aspects of the investment process in addition to working with Marquee’s operational team on business development and high priority strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for consumer investing, whether that’s in consumer brands or consumer services, and be eager to hone their investment analysis and transaction execution abilities. The ability to think analytically is a must but the ability to think creatively is also highly valued and no voice or idea is too small to be heard. This will be a highly dynamic role; the Associate / Senior Associate may be modeling investment returns one day and negotiating product vendor pricing the next. Additionally, while Marquee sits within Neuberger and has access to the vast research and investment resources of the platform, the core Marquee team is small and tight-knit and Associates will receive significant direct interaction with senior professionals. Finally, Neuberger Private Equity is a highly entrepreneurial environment where employees are often empowered to think outside the box and develop new investment strategies. The Marquee Brands team is actively engaged in developing new fund strategies and Associates will have the opportunity to participate and contribute to this.
