Technical Project Lead IT-Security Initiatives (Freelance)

Lead the execution of technical information security projects across the organization. The Project Lead will focus on running projects from planning through delivery, ensuring clear scope, stakeholder alignment, dependency management, progress tracking, and implementation of agreed security improvements.

The projects will include technical security initiatives such as Security Posture Management, Post-Quantum Cryptography, Shadow IT, and related improvements in security tooling, standards, governance, and operational processes. We are looking for a project lead with sufficient security knowledge to work effectively with Group CISO product managers, engineering teams, architecture, and Group IT services, and to steer execution across multiple stakeholders.

What you are going to do

The projects vary from rolling out new technologies, enforcing standards, running assessments, and adjusting policies and governance where needed. We are looking for a project lead that can keep oversight across the different projects and steer some of the projects her/himself. This will be in close cooperation with various Group CISO product managers and with various engineering enabling departments in our Group IT services.

• Lead technical security projects from planning through implementation, including scope, milestones, deliverables and dependencies
• Coordinate execution of initiatives such as Security Posture Management, Post-Quantum Cryptography and Shadow IT where relevant
• Align with Group CISO product managers, Group IT services, engineering teams, architects and Business Units
• Identify and manage risks, blockers, actions and decisions during project execution
• Prepare concise progress updates, decision materials and escalations for senior stakeholders
• Ensure delivery remains connected to clear security outcomes and can be embedded into sustainable processes

Who you are

• Experienced in leading technical IT or security projects in a complex enterprise environment
• Has solid knowledge of information security concepts and can understand technical input from security specialists, architects, and engineering teams
• Proactive, structured and result-driven, with a strong focus on delivery and meeting agreements made
• A strong communicator who can cooperate with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
• Able to bring structure, manage dependencies and drive business change in a complex stakeholder landscape

Who you will work with

You will work closely with Group CISO product managers and various engineering and enabling departments within Group IT services. Together, you will drive multiple security-related projects, ranging from technology rollouts to policy and governance improvements, in a highly collaborative and international environment.
