Project Manager, PMO

At CI, we see a great place to work as one that is a safe place for everyone to have a voice, where people are empowered to take ownership over meaningful work, where there is an opportunity to grow through stretching themselves, where they can work on innovative products and projects, and where employees are supported and engaged in doing so.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Program Management Office (PMO). The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives that support CI GAM's priorities and operational objectives.

The successful candidate will manage projects through all phases of the delivery lifecycle, from intake and planning through execution, implementation, and close-out. This role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, risk identification, governance oversight, and the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.

Working closely with Program Managers, business sponsors, IT leaders, and cross-functional teams, the Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic business goals. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently drive projects forward while maintaining strong governance and communication practices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead medium to large-scale business and technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and RAID logs to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to achieve project objectives.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and governance forums while providing clear status reporting and executive communications.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, drive alignment, and support timely decision-making across competing priorities.
• Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, recommending practical solutions when required.
• Ensure compliance with PMO governance standards, delivery frameworks, and project management best practices.
• Partner with Program Managers to support project intake, integrated planning, prioritisation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the PMO.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• University degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive project management experience delivering cross-functional business and technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a structured delivery environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience working with senior business leaders and technology teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office applications.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset.
