At Warner Music Group, we’re a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we turn dreams into stardom and audiences into fans. We are guided by three core values that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses:

• Curiosity: We do our best work when we’re immersing ourselves in culture and breaking through barriers. Curiosity is the driving force behind creativity and ingenuity. It fuels innovation, and innovation is the key to our future.

• Collaboration: Making music and bringing it to the world is all about the power of originality amplified by teamwork. A great idea, like a great song, travels globally. We ignite passions and build connections across our diverse community of artists, songwriters, partners, and fans.

• Commitment: We pursue excellence for our team and our talent. Everything in music starts with a leap into the unknown, and we’re committed to keeping the faith, acting with integrity, and delivering on our promises.

Technology is one of the most important parts of our business. Whether it’s signing up new artists; ensuring we provide the right data to Spotify, YouTube, and other digital service providers; or helping artists use the latest AI tools and make thoughtful decisions with data-driven insights – technology plays an invaluable role in our success. The engineering team at Warner Music Group makes all of it a reality. Check out first-hand accounts from the WMG engineering, product, design, infrastructure and data teams in our blog!

WMG is home to a wide range of artists, musicians, and songwriters that fuel our success. That is why we are committed to creating a work environment that actively values, appreciates, and respects everyone. We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.

Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.

A little bit about our team:

You'll be part of the team behind Warner Music Group's direct-to-consumer storefronts, the online stores where fans buy from some of the world's best-known artists and labels. It's a chance to do meaningful e-commerce work at scale, alongside experienced developers, and to grow your skills on a platform millions of fans rely on.

Your role

We're looking for a detail-oriented QA Shopify Developer to own the quality of our Shopify storefronts. You'll join a mature Shopify environment with an established codebase and release process, and be responsible for making sure every change works before it reaches customers.

This is a QA-first role, but not only QA. You'll also take on Shopify development tasks, and we want you to find the manual work in our testing process and replace it with automation. There's a learning curve here, and we'll support you with structured onboarding. The most important things you bring are hands-on Shopify experience, a sharp eye, and a genuine drive to learn.

Here you’ll get to:

Own QA for theme releases and new features before they go live

Build and maintain test plans, checklists and regression coverage for storefront functionality

Test across browsers and devices, including mobile, checkout flows and key conversion paths

Test for accessibility against WCAG standards, including keyboard navigation, screen reader behaviour, colour contrast and form labelling

Write clear, reproducible bug reports and verify fixes

Identify repetitive manual QA work and propose and build automation to replace it

Pick up Shopify development tickets, from content and settings changes to theme fixes and small features, taking on more as you grow

Work within Git and pull request workflows alongside other developers

Document testing processes so they're repeatable

About you:

1 to 3 years of hands-on Shopify experience at an agency or a brand running on Shopify

A portfolio of Shopify work you can show us

Solid understanding of Shopify themes: Liquid, sections, templates, theme settings and the Shopify admin

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript and TypeScript, plus familiarity with lightweight client-side frameworks such as Stimulus or Alpine.js

Real QA experience: you've written test plans, run regression testing and filed bugs, and can walk us through how you approach testing a release

Experience with at least one test automation tool, such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium

Experience using AI tools to automate testing or other workflows, with a project or example you can share

Comfortable with Git and pull requests

Highly detail-oriented, and someone who takes ownership of their work without needing to be chased

Hands-on accessibility testing experience, with working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and tools such as axe, WAVE or a screen reader

We’d love it if you also had:

Shopify Plus experience

CI/CD experience, for example GitHub Actions

Visual regression testing tools

Performance testing, for example Lighthouse

Shopify CLI or the Shopify Admin API
