Join CAE's Civil Aviation team as a Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring (QACM) Lead. In this role, you will lead the QACM team, including assigned direct reports, and serve as the focal point for compliance monitoring oversight and QACM projects on behalf of the Regional Head of Operational Governance – EMEA.
The position supports CAE's Global Aviation Safety and Governance (GSAG) framework and contributes to enhancing operational safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards across the organization. This hybrid role can be based at one of CAE's Training Centres in the UK or Europe.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and continuously improve regional and local Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Management Systems associated with CAE regulatory approvals, including Aircrew Regulation approvals and Continuing Airworthiness approvals where applicable.
Support local training centre leadership in strengthening quality assurance, compliance monitoring, risk identification, mitigation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate and execute the approved Global Annual Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Audit Program to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
Support the management and maintenance of training, simulator, and other applicable regulatory and industry approvals within the assigned region.
Contribute to maintaining certification compliance and minimizing organizational risk.
Act as a Postholder or Deputy Postholder, when applicable, for assigned region(s).
Drive continuous improvement of Quality Assurance and Compliance Management Systems across simulator and flight training centres (ATO and FTO).
Coordinate with regulatory authorities and internal and external stakeholders on Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring matters.
Lead and support QACM projects that contribute to the objectives of the Global Safety, Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring function.
Develop, maintain, and improve procedures and work instructions to support globally consistent Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring practices.
Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to QACM team members in support of compliance monitoring programs and strategic initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience as a Qualified Quality Auditor.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and compliance monitoring frameworks.
Knowledge of applicable aviation regulations, including ICAO, Transport Canada, FAR, CASA, EASA, and other National Aviation Authority (NAA) regulations relevant to the assigned region.
Experience establishing, implementing, or coordinating Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Compliance Monitoring Systems (CMS) within training organizations or airlines.
Experience analyzing complex quality assurance, compliance, technical, and operational issues and developing recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
Experience coordinating and communicating with regulatory authorities and internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and supporting team members.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a global environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
IOSA Audit experience.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and CMMI frameworks.
Previous experience working as a regulator overseeing airlines and training organizations.
Experience serving as a Postholder or Deputy Postholder within an aviation organization.
Experience supporting simulator and flight training centre operations (ATO/FTO environments).
