As the first point of contact for visitors, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment at Darktrace. We’re looking for a detail-oriented team player who thrives in a dynamic setting and enjoys being at the heart of office life.

This is a full-time position based in our London office, with occasional travel to our Cambridge office.

What will I be doing

As the Receptionist, you’ll be the face of our London office, ensuring every visitor and colleague receives a warm and professional welcome. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and directing visitors to the appropriate person or office
• Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls
• Keeping the reception area tidy, well-stocked, and presentable
• Receiving, sorting, and distributing daily post and deliveries
• Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and managing visitor access (e.g., logbook, visitor badges)
• Ordering front office supplies and managing inventory
• Supporting with ad hoc tasks such as sourcing vendors, managing office expenses, and assisting with internal employee events

What experience do I need:

We welcome applications from candidates who are enthusiastic about building a career in reception and front-of-house roles. You’ll be interacting with people across the business and supporting the Cambridge office directly, so strong communication and time management skills are essential. You’ll also need to be proactive, organised, and have a keen eye for detail. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous experience in a reception or front-of-house role
• A professional, warm, and customer-focused attitude
• A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving
• Hands-on experience with office equipment and systems

Benefits:

• 23 days’ holiday + all public holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years of service,

• Additional day off for your birthday,

• Private medical insurance which covers you, your cohabiting partner and children,

• Life insurance of 4 times your base salary,

• Salary sacrifice pension scheme,

• Enhanced family leave,

• Confidential Employee Assistance Program,

• Cycle to work scheme.

As a growing business strengthening its governance and controls, this role plays a part in supporting high standards of integrity and accountability.
