The Situation: As a proud member of France’s Next40 and one of Europe’s fastest-growing scale-ups, Malt is fundamentally redefining the "New Way of Work." Backed by a dedicated international team of over 600 Malters and a thriving community of more than 1 million freelance experts, our marketplace model connects forward-thinking enterprises with specialized, top-tier independent talent across Europe. With our executive leadership scaling operations across international hubs, our Madrid office is accelerating Global Accounts expansion across diverse verticals and geographies. To fuel this next phase of hyper-growth, we must deliver high-velocity, precision talent matching that consistently satisfies enterprise project needs and deepens strategic client partnerships.
The Task: Step into the role of Recruitment Consultant with our internal job title Project Partner to own and scale the talent delivery engine for our most critical Global and Enterprise Accounts in Spain. Operating with an entrepreneurial mindset, your core mandate is to partner closely with National and Global Account Managers, transforming high-level client project briefings into high-impact matched assignments. In doing so, you will master algorithmic AI-driven sourcing, consultative client scoping, and multi-stakeholder deal negotiation—directly driving Gross Services Volume (GSV), maximizing pipeline win rates, and fostering long-term enterprise platform autonomy.
Action: Direct the full qualification and delivery cycle for the Spanish market by leveraging internal AI search tools and advanced screening techniques to identify and engage top-tier independent experts. Proactively embrace automation to eliminate non-value tasks, freeing up your time for high-value, strategic client-facing discussions.
Output: Curated, highly vetted candidate presentations delivered with rapid turnaround, ensuring exact alignment with complex enterprise briefs.
Metrics: Concurrently steer approximately 30 live client opportunities across roughly 15 enterprise accounts; sustain 100% adoption of internal AI Search workflows; maintain deal closing cycles under 8 weeks.
Action: Advise enterprise hiring managers on framing crisp technical briefings, while coaching freelance experts on profile positioning, rate expectations (TJM), and client interview success. Execute consultative closing frameworks and navigate objections to finalize contracts seamlessly.
Output: Formally signed project engagements with balanced commercial terms that protect project gross margins and contractor satisfaction.
Metrics: Deliver a consistent 23%–24% brief-to-placement win rate; maximize signed GSV; secure top-choice candidate selection rates above team benchmarks.
Action: Build a collaborative, strategic tandem with Account Managers (NAMs/GAMs) to identify expansion opportunities within existing Spanish Global and Enterprise accounts. Guide corporate stakeholders to master Malt's self-service features, transitioning them from assisted delivery to independent platform usage.
Output: Joint account growth plans and self-sufficient enterprise hiring managers who proactively generate independent assignments on the Malt marketplace.
Metrics: Measurable increase in client-generated platform autonomy; repeat booking velocity; elevated client and freelancer satisfaction (NPS).
Brought 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally as a 360 recruiter or within the tech industry, managing high-volume activity effectively.
Scaled commercial staffing pipelines and demonstrated a heavy sales orientation, proving that strong sales acumen and business knowledge trump purely technical skills.
Handled heavy workloads of 30+ concurrent demands across multiple accounts without compromising delivery speed or qualification rigor.
Demonstrated the maturity, authority, and diplomacy required to push back on demanding clients and internal sales teams, navigating complex stakeholder confrontations successfully.
Adapted quickly to fast-changing environments, showing a proactive flexibility when organizational processes or tech stacks evolve.
AI-Augmented Matching Mastery: Harness proprietary machine learning algorithms and marketplace search engines to identify niche expertise at scale.
Consultative Enterprise Advisory: Elevate from transactional recruiter to strategic workforce consultant, advising Global 500 procurement leaders and VP-level hiring managers on market liquidity and rate intelligence.
Platform Product Stewardship: Cultivate product expertise to conduct client platform demonstrations, transitioning corporate clients from assisted delivery to independent self-service workflows.
Marketplace Unit Economics & GSV Governance: Deepen business acumen around Gross Services Volume growth, margin preservation, and long-term customer lifetime value
This role is perfect for you if...
Bring genuine energy, infectious enthusiasm, and resilience to daily problem-solving ("Joy is our secret sauce").
Prioritize collective team triumph over individual ego, thriving in an open, cross-functional environment where knowledge is shared freely ("It takes a community").
Gravitate naturally toward radical ownership and fast action, comfortably prioritizing ~30 concurrent deliverables and navigating ambiguity with ease ("Dream big, act big").
Seek out the cleanest, most efficient solutions to complex problems, communicating with brevity and impact ("Simplicity wins").
This role is NOT for you if...
Require a rigid, static playbook and step-by-step supervision to initiate outreach, prioritize pipelines, or make daily decisions.
Hesitate to pick up the phone, challenge unrealistic briefing parameters, or negotiate rates directly with clients and freelancers.
View talent acquisition as a detached back-office ticketing function rather than a high-touch, consultative growth driver.
Prefer predictable, steady maintenance over the fast pace, iterative learning, and proactive experimentation of a scaling marketplace.
Day 30 — Marketplace Immersion & Pipeline Calibration: Complete intensive onboarding across the Malt platform, ecosystem tools (ATS, OMT, and AI Search), and core operating rhythms. Work closely on a smooth handover with outgoing team members to map out active Spanish Global and Enterprise accounts, while taking ownership of your first batch of client briefings.
Day 90 — Full Delivery Ownership & KPI Acceleration: Operate as a primary commercial delivery partner for designated accounts, confidently driving a live pipeline of ~30 concurrent client requirements alongside 3-4 sales team members. Achieve our baseline 23%–24% brief-to-placement win rate while actively coaching enterprise hiring managers toward self-service platform usage.
Day 180 — Autonomous Execution & Strategic Scale: Run fully autonomously as an established pillar within the Madrid hub, consistently meeting quarterly signed GSV objectives and SLA targets. Champion innovative AI sourcing strategies and internal process optimizations, maintaining elite client and freelancer CSAT scores across all completed assignments.
