Could you bring order, insight, and confidence to how one of Europe's most critical grid infrastructure businesses plans, executes, and manages risk?
GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Regional S&OP & Project Risk Manager to join our Grid Systems Integration team within North & South Europe.
With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonize it. Our name reflects our mission. "GE" carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. "Ver" signals Earth's lush ecosystems, while "Nova" nods to a new era of lower-carbon energy we are helping to deliver.
Focused on the future, GE Vernova is accelerating the shift to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. We help customers power economies and deliver electricity vital to health, safety, and quality of life.
Our Electrification solutions modernize grids, enable renewable integration, and strengthen energy systems. From software to power conversion and storage, we help create smarter, more resilient energy networks.
You will lead and continuously improve the Sales & Operations Planning process across our North & South Europe region, bringing together portfolio, demand, capacity, supply chain, project execution, and financial planning into one clear, connected picture.
The regional S&OP process is at an early stage of development, giving you the opportunity to help shape, establish, and embed a robust operating model across the region.
You will also bring your project risk expertise to our Tendering teams, helping identify, evaluate, and manage the risks and opportunities associated with complex grid infrastructure projects before contracts are awarded.
This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the heart of the business, working across functions and levels to help teams plan effectively, make informed decisions, and approach major tender opportunities with greater clarity and confidence.
You should be a confident communicator and natural collaborator who thrives on bringing structure to complexity, with:
Experience within EPC project environments, HVDC, AC substations, or other major grid infrastructure projects would be particularly valuable.
Previous exposure to Sales & Operations Planning, Integrated Business Planning, portfolio planning, operational planning, or similar cross-functional business planning processes would also be beneficial.
Experience developing or improving governance and planning processes, rather than solely operating within established frameworks, would be advantageous.
Knowledge of project risk, planning, or portfolio-management tools such as SAP, ARM, Primavera Unifier, Planisware, or equivalent systems would also be beneficial.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience, is preferred.
This is a permanent position with Stafford, United Kingdom as the primary UK location.
The role may also be considered from selected GE Vernova locations elsewhere within the North & South Europe region, including appropriate locations in Spain or France, subject to business requirements.
For Stafford-based employees, the role operates on a hybrid model with an expectation of approximately three days per week in the office. Hybrid arrangements for other locations will align with local business practice.
Occasional travel may be required for business meetings, tender activities, training, or other business needs. Regular travel is not expected.
