About Computrition
Computrition, Inc. is a leading provider of enterprise foodservice, nutrition management, and retail technology, trusted by hundreds of organizations across North America, including healthcare systems, military installations, correctional facilities, and higher education institutions. For more than 44 years, we’ve built technology in partnership with our customers, helping them improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial performance, and deliver better nutritional care.
We’re investing in the future of our platform by adopting modern technologies and working closely with customers to solve complex operational challenges. Our solutions have real-world impact by driving performance enhancement and show up directly in how hospitals, military installations, and other institutions operate every day.
Computrition offers the stability of an established industry leader and the momentum of a company accelerating growth through innovation. We invest in our people and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth where employees can make a meaningful impact. You’ll join experienced professionals who are passionate about solving meaningful problems and delivering measurable outcomes for customers.
With team members across the U.S. and Canada, and as part of a growing portfolio of technology companies owned by Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU.TO), we are well-positioned to continue advancing the future of foodservice and nutrition technology.
If you’re looking to build technology that makes a meaningful impact while growing your career with a stable, innovative company, we’d like to hear from you.
About the Role
We are seeking a proven, outcome-driven enterprise business consultant to deliver new-logo growth in the non-commercial foodservice technology sector. The Regional Sales Director owns the full sales lifecycle for Computrition’s core cloud-based platform and associated services — across our primary markets: healthcare and higher education.
The ideal candidate resides within their assigned geographic territory and possesses a deep working knowledge of how nutrition and foodservice operations function within the market segments that Computrition services. This is an individual-contributor, quota-smashing new-business acquisition role focused on capturing market share by delivering measurable, value-based outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle end to end — relentlessly engaging, qualifying, developing, and closing new-logo, enterprise-level opportunities that drive regional growth.
- Self-source and aggressively build your own pipeline — you don’t wait for leads, you create them — backed by Computrition’s marketing, solution specialists, and 44 years of market credibility.
- Harness AI-powered research to build a sharp, data-driven point of view on every prospect — mapping financial performance, innovation and technology objectives, competitive pressures, and the stakeholder personas who control the decision — so you enter each conversation already credible.
- Pinpoint each prospect’s KPI objectives and performance gaps, then position Computrition’s platform as the clear, results-driven path to closing them.
- Build and present tailored, ROI-backed solution proposals that quantify the win — regulatory compliance, patron satisfaction, labor efficiency, expense reduction, and revenue generation — giving economic buyers an undeniable reason to act.
- Command the room at industry events, conferences, and executive briefings, converting visibility into qualified pipeline and net-new business.
Core Sales Competencies
- Consultative, complex solution selling. Skilled at navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and selling a platform solution rather than a transaction.
- Value & ROI selling. Able to build and defend a business case grounded in labor savings, food-cost reduction, operational efficiency, compliance, and improved patient or student satisfaction.
- RFP & procurement navigation. Comfortable shaping requirements early, responding to formal bids, and managing committee-driven approval processes towards contract review, negotiation and execution phases.
- Executive engagement. Confident presenting to and influencing C-suite and economic buyers — CFOs, CNOs, and VPs of Auxiliary or Business Services — not just departmental contacts.
- Pipeline & forecast discipline. Rigorous CRM hygiene and dependable forecasting on large, complex enterprise deals.
- Solution storytelling. Translates technical capabilities into clear, persuasive demonstrations and presentations tailored to each audience.
- Closing orientation. Self-motivated and determined to solve business problems and bring deals to close.
Market Expertise
Depth in one market with the adaptability to ramp quickly in the other is expected; fluency in both is a strong advantage.
Acute Healthcare
- Understanding of hospital foodservice and clinical nutrition workflows, including diet office operations, room-service models, and the role of registered dietitians.
- Familiarity with the IDN, health-system, and GPO landscape and how purchasing decisions flow through it.
- Awareness of regulatory and accreditation pressures (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS) and the data-sensitivity expectations of a clinical environment.
- Ability to articulate value to clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders within an acute-care setting.
Higher Education
- Knowledge of campus dining operations and the auxiliary / business-services buying environment.
- Understanding of the self-operated vs. contract-managed (e.g., Aramark, Sodexo, Compass) dynamic and how it shapes a technology decision.
- Familiarity with academic budgeting and fiscal-year timing that drive purchasing windows.
- Ability to connect platform value to student satisfaction, dining program goals, and operational cost control.
Operational Skills
- Territory ownership. Entrepreneurial approach to planning, prioritizing, and growing an assigned region.
- Cross-functional collaboration. Works effectively alongside solution specialists, implementation, and marketing partners to advance opportunities — coordinating their involvement at the right moments in the sales process.
- Requirements analysis. Analyzes customer and departmental operations to align prospect needs with the right foodservice IT solution.
- Communication. Excellent written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills across technical and executive audiences.
- Time & travel management. Organizes a field-based schedule efficiently and manages the travel the territory requires.
- CRM & sales tooling. Proficient with CRM and standard sales-productivity tools to manage activity, pipeline, and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience, or operational experience at a senior level within a hospital nutrition-services department or campus dining operation.
- Prior knowledge or experience in foodservice operations, the workings of a healthcare facility or higher-education dining program, a production kitchen, and/or related software systems is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of — or experience administering — non-commercial foodservice or nutrition-services software solutions.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing customer or departmental requirements and aligning them to foodservice IT services.
- Experience developing strategic accounts and presenting to the C-suite in a non-commercial acute healthcare or higher education environment.
- Proven success placing nutrition and foodservice technology solutions in either a sales or operations capacity.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and solutions-oriented, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Income range opportunity of $100K - $300K+
- Commissions: Aggressive commission structure tied to sales volume, plus a year-end bonus for exceeding booking targets.
- Company bonus: Annual bonus for all employees based on company financial performance.
- Retirement: VOYA 401(k) plan with company match.
- Health benefits: Multiple plan options spanning medical, dental, and vision, plus a Healthcare Savings Account and more.
- Stock purchase: Employee stock purchase opportunity (parent company trades as CSU on the Toronto Exchange).
How to Apply
Are you a seasoned technology sales professional with the drive to win net-new business and the consultative skill to make a measurable impact across healthcare and higher education — while earning a strong, performance-driven income? If so, we’d like to hear from you.
