As a Director in our M&A Energy Transition team, you'll work at the intersection of strategy, deals, infrastructure and sustainability, helping clients deploy capital, execute transactions and create long-term value across the evolving energy landscape.
 

From renewable generation and energy storage to critical minerals, hydrogen, transmission infrastructure and decarbonisation solutions, you'll advise leading investors, corporates, government entities and infrastructure funds on opportunities that are shaping Australia's energy future.

What you'll do:

• Lead complex M&A and strategic transactions across the energy transition ecosystem, including renewables, storage, transmission, hydrogen, critical minerals and emerging clean technologies.
• Advise infrastructure investors, private equity funds, energy companies, developers and government clients on acquisitions, divestments, partnerships and growth strategies.
• Originate and develop client relationships, identifying new opportunities and driving business development across the broader Deals and Strategy& networks.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through commercial due diligence, market assessments, transaction strategy and value creation programs, delivering impactful outcomes for clients.
• Shape executive and board-level decision making through robust analysis, strategic insight and clear recommendations.
• Coach and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion and continuous learning.

What we're looking for:

• Significant experience advising clients on M&A, infrastructure, energy, utilities, natural resources, power markets or broader energy transition investments.
• Strong commercial acumen and transaction experience, gained within a consulting firm, investment bank, corporate development function, infrastructure investor or energy organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements, manage senior stakeholder relationships and drive business development outcomes.
• Exceptional strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into actionable recommendations.
• Experience in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, energy markets, decarbonisation, sustainability or climate-related investments.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics and investment trends impacting the energy transition sector.
• Experience leading teams through growth, transformation or large-scale investment decisions.
• Existing network across energy, infrastructure, government or investment communities.
