WireScreen is a fast-growing Series A startup bringing clarity to one of the world’s most complex business landscapes. We’re building the go-to intelligence platform for navigating global supply chains and China-related risk—revealing the networks, relationships, and financial ties behind companies so our customers can see connections, remove obstacles, and make confident decisions.
Backed by Sequoia Capital and Harpoon Ventures, our team includes a two-time Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist and senior engineers from Google, Twitter, and Oracle. We launched just three years ago and already have strong traction with top-tier government customers—and we’re just getting started. If you’re excited to make global systems more transparent and secure, now’s the perfect time to join us.
WireScreen’s Research team sits at the heart of our business. It’s where data comes to life. Research Associates work with our talented engineers to enrich WireScreen data with industry intelligence, Chinese market insights, and relevant supply chain risk information based on a rapidly evolving global economy.
This team owns WireScreen Insights, a fundamental differentiator for WireScreen and highly valued by our customers. Researchers curate these structured datasets of companies, people, and relationships by tracing ownership, subsidiaries, and affiliations across borders and jurisdictions. Collections can uncover risks embedded within ownership chains, investors, partners, and suppliers—for example, surfacing military connections—or provide insight into a company’s investments and involvement in specific sectors such as electric vehicle supply chains or the quantum industry ecosystem.
Success in this role positions you to develop unique insights into global supply chains, and the connections between key businesses, governments & people powering the global economy.

Customer Support & Enablement: Educate customer-facing teams on how data collections are built and validated, and partner cross-functionally to scope and develop new collections based on customer demand and research capabilities.
Document Analysis: Analyze a range of corporate documents in both Chinese and English to verify and ensure data integrity.
Are fluent in English & Mandarin and able to read and interpret content across Chinese- and English-language sources.
Have 2+ years of experience in investigations, corporate due diligence, business intelligence, forensic research, KYC/AML, or similar primary-source research roles.
Are adaptable, eager to learn, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and bring a team-first mentality with a willingness to jump in wherever needed in a growing startup environment.
Can manage competing priorities, move with urgency, and consistently delivery high-quality work.
Enjoy deep, manual investigative work and know how to adapt your approach, think resourcefully, and pursue alternative paths to overcome investigative challenges.
Have high business acumen, and interest in global trade, supply chain and corporate data.
Have proven analytical skills and attention to detail, especially around identity resolution and data accuracy.
