In this role, you will work in the field of AI for CT image formation, reconstruction and denoising.
You will contribute to AI-based clinical solutions focused on CT image quality, dose utilization, noise reduction and image reconstruction to increase diagnostic confidence and enable new clinical insights.
Your role:
Develop, implement and validate innovative AI-based CT image formation solutions, including reconstruction and denoising of conventional, spectral and photon-counting CT data.
Apply your know-how in AI and data science, especially deep learning, to CT image formation, high spatial and temporal resolution reconstruction, image denoising and dose reduction techniques.
Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and methods within defined project roadmaps.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to transfer results into clinically meaningful innovation.
You should bring the following:
Master degree in AI, data science or informatics.
Expertise in AI and data science, CNNs, statistical and machine-learning libraries such as NumPy or PyTorch, data analytics and AI tools or agents for analysis and prototyping.
Programming experience, especially Python and C++.
Experience with deep learning, for example training convolutional neural networks, preferably in medical imaging and computed tomography.
Clinical understanding of medical imaging, predominantly CT.
Ability to provide technical consultation and subject-matter expertise to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts, influence technical decisions and collaborate in global interdisciplinary R&D environments.
Proficiency in English; German would be a plus.
Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is €75.336,00 – €85.744,64 and is governed by the applicable Collective Labour Agreement. The stated salary range reflects the salary progression within the relevant pay grade under the Collective Labour Agreement. New employees are generally hired at the entry level of the respective pay grade.
