Job Description:
Department Overview
<Partner Sales Department>
Rakuten Mobile is currently focusing heavily on its enterprise business, and the Partner Sales Department is responsible for creating and expanding business through partners (MVNOs or sales agencies). We are leading the transformation of the telecommunications industry based on the unique and innovative technical infrastructure realized by Rakuten Mobile.
<Partner Sales Section>
The Partner Sales Section collaborates with our business partners, MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators), to acquire enterprise subscriptions. MVNOs are telecommunications carriers that provide new value to the world by combining their own services and sales channels with Rakuten Mobile's services. Therefore, there are as many needs as there are partners, and you will be involved from the planning stage to meet those needs.
Position:
Why We Hire
As we expand our enterprise business, we are looking for team members who will become key players in our mission. We are seeking individuals who are eager to challenge themselves in a new environment, have experience in B2B sales, or have experience in agency sales.
Position Details
<Sales Activities>
While we place importance on face-to-face interactions in our sales activities, we also use web conferencing as needed. Business trips to various locations within Japan are also required.
<New Business Development>
You will be responsible for developing new customers. You will negotiate with companies already providing services as MVNOs to become Rakuten Mobile partners. We also actively propose new business opportunities to corporations that are not currently MVNOs.
<Existing Account Management>
You will be responsible for driving sales expansion with existing customers. This includes holding weekly regular meetings with partners to identify issues and discuss new initiatives, aiming to build and deepen trusting relationships.
<Service Planning>
To materialize the various needs unearthed through the aforementioned sales activities, you will be involved in plan design, service planning, and system development. You will check for profitability and future potential, confirm rules (with PR, Marketing, Legal, External Relations, etc.), and coordinate with various internal departments-including development (Business Analysts, System Development, Monitoring, Network, etc.) and flow design (Order Processing, Logistics, Delivery, etc.)-as well as external clients.
<Progress Reporting>
In addition to regular progress sharing, you will share various projects and initiatives. We place high importance on communication both within and outside the section.

・Launching Services You Conceived
You can witness the services you conceptualized and shaped with partners being released to the world and see customers actually using them. You will be able to build a track record you can be proud of, knowing you played a key role in creating these services.

We have an open and transparent organization where you can frankly share your thoughts and ideas. It is an environment where opinions are exchanged freely, and everyone learns from one another.
