Working with Salesforce developers, architects, QA specialists, and integration teams, you will identify bottlenecks and deliver actionable recommendations to optimize application performance. Your responsibilities will span Salesforce modules, APIs, integrations, and critical end-to-end business workflows. This fully remote contractual opportunity offers the chance to contribute to technically challenging projects in a collaborative, technology-driven environment. You will use data-driven analysis and structured testing methodologies to help ensure applications remain stable and responsive under demanding workloads. Candidates with strong hands-on expertise and immediate or short-notice availability are particularly encouraged to apply.
Salesforce Performance Testing: Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies and test plans for Salesforce applications and enterprise implementations.
Conduct load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability testing to assess application behavior under different user loads, transaction volumes, and operating conditions.
Evaluate critical business workflows, including record creation and updates, searches, reports, dashboards, and complex transactions across Salesforce environments.
Test Salesforce solutions such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Lightning Experience, as applicable to project requirements.
Identify performance issues related to Salesforce configurations, customizations, Apex transactions, Lightning components, and external integrations.
Apache JMeter Test Development: Build, maintain, and execute reusable performance test scripts and modular test plans using Apache JMeter.
Configure Thread Groups, HTTP Request Samplers, Controllers, Timers, Assertions, Listeners, and other JMeter components to simulate realistic workload scenarios.
Develop parameterized and data-driven scripts using CSV files, variables, and correlation techniques, ensuring reliable session management and authentication.
Configure and execute HTTP/HTTPS requests, headers, cookies, tokens, and request payloads for realistic performance testing scenarios.
Run distributed and non-GUI load tests for large-scale performance assessments and analyze results to evaluate response times, throughput, error rates, and concurrent-user performance.
API and Integration Testing: Perform performance testing of Salesforce REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Bulk APIs, and other relevant interfaces.
Assess integrations between Salesforce and external applications, middleware platforms, and third-party systems, validating response times, throughput, reliability, and error handling under concurrent loads.
Apply knowledge of OAuth 2.0, access tokens, refresh tokens, and Salesforce API limits to develop reliable and representative test scenarios.
Identify bottlenecks in API requests, integration services, downstream dependencies, and data-intensive operations.
Performance Analysis and Optimization: Analyze response-time distributions, latency, throughput, error rates, and other performance indicators to identify application and integration bottlenecks.
Investigate slow transactions and performance degradation in collaboration with Salesforce developers and architects, reviewing relevant debug logs, Apex execution, governor limits, and platform constraints.
Recommend performance improvements based on test findings, monitoring data, and root-cause analysis.
Conduct regression performance testing following fixes, configuration changes, and optimization initiatives.
Reporting and Collaboration: Prepare detailed performance test reports, dashboards, execution summaries, and actionable recommendations for technical stakeholders.
Document test scenarios, workload models, test data requirements, assumptions, results, and reusable testing assets.
Present findings, risks, bottlenecks, and optimization recommendations to QA teams, developers, architects, DevOps specialists, and business stakeholders.
Participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis, performance reviews, and cross-functional discussions to support continuous improvement.
6–9 years of experience in software testing, with substantial hands-on experience in performance testing and analysis.
Strong practical expertise in Apache JMeter, including script development, test execution, workload configuration, result analysis, and performance reporting.
Proven experience conducting performance testing for Salesforce applications and Salesforce-based enterprise solutions.
Hands-on experience with load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability testing methodologies.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, SOAP APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML, and web communication protocols.
Experience with API authentication, OAuth 2.0, access and refresh tokens, parameterization, correlation, and session management.
Solid understanding of performance metrics, including response time, throughput, latency, concurrent users, and error rates.
Demonstrated ability to interpret test results, troubleshoot performance degradation, and identify application, API, and integration bottlenecks.
Knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, governor limits, Apex transactions, and API usage constraints.
Experience with test data management, defect tracking, test documentation, and structured performance reporting.
Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
Nice to have: Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Lightning Experience.
Nice to have: Familiarity with Salesforce Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce integration patterns.
