SALT Indirect Tax Senior | SAP/Oracle ERP | Vertex Tax Engine Expert

The Opportunity

Join our Acceleration Center India and help shape the future of business for our diverse client portfolio across geographies and jurisdictions. As a SALT Indirect Tax Senior Associate, you will work with global teams to deliver indirect tax technology solutions using SAP/Oracle ERP and Vertex Tax Engine. You will help clients streamline tax processes, enhance compliance, improve tax determination and reporting, and resolve complex tax technology challenges.

This role offers the opportunity to work on ERP tax configurations, functional design, solutioning, testing, and production support while developing strong consulting and client management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and support indirect tax processes within SAP/Oracle ERP (O2C & P2P).
• Implement and maintain Vertex Tax Engine solutions and integrations.
• Support tax determination, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Design functional solutions and participate in requirement gathering workshops.
• Perform SIT, UAT, and end-to-end testing across ERP and tax platforms.
• Troubleshoot tax calculation issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain documentation including BRDs, Functional Design Documents, Test Scripts, and Training Guides.
• Manage support tickets, incidents, and service requests while meeting SLA commitments.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and provide indirect tax advisory support.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.

What You Must Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Tax Technology, ERP Tax, or Indirect Tax Consulting.
• Strong experience with SAP and/or Oracle ERP tax configurations.
• Hands-on experience with Vertex Tax Engine.
• Experience in tax determination, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Experience in functional design, solution design, and requirement analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
