We are seeking an experienced SAP Datasphere Data Modeller / Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise SAP domain data models and data pipelines supporting analytics and reporting use cases. This role will play a critical part in delivering trusted, high-performance consumption-layer models on SAP Datasphere, integrating data from SAP S/4HANA and related SAP systems into a modern analytics architecture, with downstream consumption via enterprise BI platforms such as Tableau Cloud and Power BI.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in SAP Datasphere with deep knowledge of SAP data structures, and a solid background in SAP HANA and/or SAP BW data modelling. Experience across core SAP business domains including Finance, Sales and Distribution, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Procurement is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop analytical and consumption‑layer data models in SAP Datasphere for reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics, consumed via Tableau Cloud and Power BI.
• Apply best‑practice dimensional and semantic modelling to deliver performant, scalable, business‑friendly data structures.
• Build reusable, standardised data models and views aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
• Collaborate with business SMEs, functional consultants, and analytics teams to translate requirements into robust data models.
• Use SQL and SAP Datasphere capabilities to implement transformations, calculations, and business logic.
• Optimise query performance and data refresh strategies for analytics workloads.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and traceability across end‑to‑end data pipelines.
• Support downstream analytics consumption across platforms including Snowflake, Tableau Cloud, and Power BI.
• Contribute to modelling standards, naming conventions, and development guidelines for Datasphere and SAP analytics.
• Assist with testing, validation, and deployment of data models across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments.

Essential Skills

• Proven hands‑on experience with SAP Datasphere as a data modeller and/or data engineer.
• Strong background in SAP HANA modelling (Calculation Views, SQL Script) and/or SAP BW/BW/4HANA.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP data structures, tables, and relationships.
• Demonstrated experience across core SAP domains: Finance, Sales & Distribution, Manufacturing/PP, Logistics & Inventory (MM‑IM), and Procurement (MM‑PUR).
• Strong SQL skills with experience building complex transformations and analytical logic.
• Experience designing star schemas, fact/dimension models, and semantic layers for analytics.
• Proven ability to integrate SAP S/4HANA data into analytics platforms via Datasphere.
• Experience designing and optimising models for consumption by Tableau Cloud and/or Power BI.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, performance optimisation, and data governance principles.
• Desirable exposure to SAP HANA hybrid landscapes, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics/CDS views, data integration tools (DP Agent, Cloud Connector), and large‑scale S/4HANA transformation programs.
