About The Department
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities
Support the establishment and maturation of the GIS Security Engineering Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) capability. Responsible for improving reliability, scalability, observability, automation and operational excellence of critical cybersecurity platforms supporting Cyber Defence Engineering and Infrastructure Security Engineering.
Operate and support SIEM, Syslog, XDR, HIPS, CyberArk, SOAR, TIP, NDR, IPS and related security platforms.
Perform proactive monitoring, health checks, incident response, problem management and root cause analysis.
Develop automation using Python, Ansible, APIs and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
Implement and maintain observability dashboards using Splunk, Grafana and monitoring platforms.
Define and track SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets for critical services.
Maintain runbooks, SOPs and knowledge management artifacts.
Support production handover and operational readiness reviews with Engineering and Solution Architecture teams.
Participate in on-call support, disaster recovery and resilience testing.
Job Requirements
Education
Diploma/Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT/Cyber Security from a recognized education institution.
Cyber Security product certifications will be favorable although not mandatory.
Technical Skills
5-8 years experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or Security Engineering.
Strong Linux and/or Windows administration skills.
Experience with Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus or equivalent observability tools.
Hands-on scripting with Python, PowerShell or equivalent.
Experience with Ansible, APIs and automation frameworks.
Good understanding of networking, distributed systems and incident management.
Experience with CyberArk, XDR, HIPS or SIEM platforms preferred.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Continuous improvement and automation mindset.
Strong documentation and process discipline.
Other Requirements
Willingness to participate in on-call support duty.
Experience in banking or regulated environments is advantageous.
