This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Backend Developer based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to design and build scalable backend solutions within an experienced, globally connected technology environment. You will take ownership of large-scale Java applications and contribute across the full software development lifecycle. The position combines backend engineering, cloud-native architecture, AI/ML integrations, and secure software development. You will build high-performance APIs and services while exploring modern serverless and event-driven approaches. Working within agile teams, you will collaborate with technical leads and international stakeholders to deliver robust solutions for complex business needs. The role provides exposure to diverse projects, modern technologies, and opportunities to strengthen both technical expertise and business process knowledge.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale, enterprise-grade Java backend applications.
- Build scalable, secure, modular, and high-performance REST and SOAP web services.
- Contribute throughout the full development lifecycle within Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Develop and integrate AI/ML-powered backend services, including solutions involving large language models and related technologies.
- Design and implement cloud-native and serverless solutions using AWS.
- Apply secure coding standards and OWASP best practices to ensure reliable and secure applications.
- Contribute to event-driven architectures and modern backend integration patterns.
- Collaborate closely with implementation leads, developers, and global stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development and backend architecture design.
- Strong experience building enterprise-grade, modular, scalable, and extensible software systems.
- Hands-on expertise with Spring and Spring Boot applications.
- Proven experience with cloud and serverless architectures, particularly within AWS environments.
- Experience developing AI/ML-powered backend services and integrating LLM-based technologies.
- Experience working within Agile development teams and modern software delivery environments.
- Exposure to event-driven architecture and distributed backend systems.
- Experience with .NET, C#, or .NET Core development is valuable.
- Experience working with Oracle and MongoDB databases.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and technical ownership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and international stakeholders.
