Join a collaborative engineering environment where you can lead impactful water resources and stormwater management projects that support resilient infrastructure and sustainable communities. In this senior technical role, you will oversee complex hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, stormwater system design, flood mitigation strategies, and innovative low-impact development solutions. You will contribute to projects from initial analysis and design through regulatory approvals and construction support, ensuring technical excellence and environmental compliance. Working alongside multidisciplinary professionals, you will help deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions to water management challenges. You will also mentor developing engineers, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to project planning and business development. This opportunity offers the autonomy to shape your professional path within a people-focused environment that values collaboration, employee ownership, and work-life balance.
Lead and support the planning, design, and implementation of water resources and stormwater management projects, including hydrologic assessments, floodplain mapping and mitigation, low-impact development (LID), traditional infrastructure, storage ponds, diversion and control structures, and conveyance systems.
Conduct and oversee hydraulic analyses and the design of water management infrastructure, including channels, culverts, weirs, spillways, dams, bridge crossings, ponds, sewers, watermains, forcemains, and pump stations.
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard tools such as SWMM, PCSWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, MIDUSS, and OTTHYMO.
Prepare and review technical reports, engineering drawings, specifications, design calculations, cost estimates, environmental assessment documentation, and regulatory permit submissions.
Interpret applicable municipal and provincial regulations, guidelines, and approval requirements to ensure project designs meet technical standards, client expectations, and regulatory obligations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, ecologists, environmental specialists, and civil engineers, to develop integrated project solutions.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior and intermediate team members while maintaining high standards of quality and professional practice.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies, supporting effective communication and project coordination.
Contribute to proposals, project budgeting, and planning activities, and provide support for tendering, construction administration, and site inspections as required.
An accredited bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline; a master's degree is considered an asset.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain registration within two months.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in water resources engineering, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.
Demonstrated expertise in stormwater management systems, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, hydraulic structure design, and water resources modeling.
Proficiency with relevant modeling software, including tools such as SWMM, PCSWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, MIDUSS, or OTTHYMO, along with CAD design tools.
Strong knowledge of municipal and provincial water resources regulations, stormwater guidelines, and environmental approval processes.
A proven ability to produce accurate, high-quality technical deliverables supporting environmental assessments, engineering design, and regulatory permits.
