Zensurance is redefining commercial insurance for Canadian businesses.
As a leading InsurTech, we make getting the right coverage simple, fast, and accessible through a digital-first experience. Our platform combines advanced technology with deep industry expertise to deliver tailored insurance solutions that help businesses thrive.
We’re looking for a driven Senior Commercial Insurance Broker to join our Elite Accounts team. This isn’t a transactional service role - it’s an opportunity for a high-performing broker who operates as a strategic, trusted advisor to complex commercial clients.
Reporting to the Practice Leader, you’ll own a portfolio of high-value accounts, delivering end-to-end stewardship year-round. You'll lead the full account and renewal lifecycle: auditing policy data, conducting gap analyses to eliminate silent exclusions, and negotiating optimal coverage packages with carrier partners.
By delivering expert advice, mid-term reviews, and tailored coverage enhancements, you'll build lasting relationships and maximize long-term account retention.
Strategic Onboarding: Effectively onboarding new customers and establishing yourself as their trusted advisor from day one.
The Circle of Protection: Managing an existing book of business by issuing certificates and processing endorsements for large, complex accounts.
Forensic Policy Review: Carefully reviewing all new submissions and policy data for accuracy.
Risk Architecture: Processing remarkets and designing risk mitigation strategies (reviewing leases, contracts, and loss controls).
Year-Round Stewardship: Providing consistent value throughout the policy lifecycle, ensuring the renewal is a mere formality through proactive relationship management.
Licensing & Commercial Experience: You hold a valid broker license for your province and have 5+ years of commercial experience. Previous experience handling high-premium, complex commercial files is strongly preferred.
Deep Insurance IQ: A CIP, CAIB, or CRM designation is a significant bonus. You have the technical depth to perform audits on renewals and stay ahead of legislative shifts.
The Elite Mindset: You align your success with the client’s growth and act as a strategic partner rather than a vendor.
Excellent Communications: You can translate complex insurance jargon into clear, professional language.
Workflow Efficiency: Ability to utilize a BMS, Salesforce, or other digital tools to streamline workflows and manage high-volume client data with precision.
High-Impact Collaboration: You’re a strong advocate for your clients with Underwriters and a leader of accountability within your internal team.
Solution-Oriented Drive: You approach challenges with persistence and agility, consistently meeting set targets through innovative risk solutions.
Exceptional Organization: You have strong prioritization skills and the flexibility to manage a diverse, high-complexity portfolio simultaneously.
Application Review: We look for customer-centric brokers who thrive in high-volume environments.
Recruiter Screen: An introductory interview to discuss your experience, learn about Zensurance, and ask questions.
Lead Interview: A conversation with our VP of Sales and Elite Practice Leader covering your experience, past accomplishments, and technical insurance skills.
Offer: Welcome to Zensurance!
