What you will be doing:

The Senior Consultant, HHS Collaboratives, offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) or clinician to translate clinical expertise into meaningful impact across healthcare organizations. With experience in areas such as perinatal care, fertility, women’s health, men’s health, radiology, or breast cancer care, you will partner with healthcare leaders and clinical teams to share best practices, turn data into actionable insights, and advance care through collaborative learning and performance improvement.

The Senior Consultant also participates in Premier internal activities, including practice development, required and approved educational opportunities, and learning the technologies Premier offers its clients. In this role, you will:

 

• Create value through meaningful client interactions, data analysis and insights, and active participation in the collaboratives.
• Contribute to practice development activities that grow and strengthen the Women’s and Children’s Collaboratives.
• Demonstrate initiative and a results-driven approach, meet commitments and deadlines, take ownership of your work, and see issues through to resolution.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility #1– 85%

 

• Collaborate and support delivery of accessible and helpful forums for sharing best practices. This includes providing input to collaborative activities such as the collaborative site assessments, member Meetings, educational sessions, and the use of the Premier platforms
• Obtain data, execute/direct/oversee analyses, initiate interpretations, and conclusions, and prepare verbal and graphic presentations, using methods that are professionally sound and efficient relative to project objectives and conform to standards. Perform quality assurance on assigned collaborative deliverables.
• Contribute content and sharing best practices with members
• Assist in determining Member needs by effectively participating in Member discussions and utilizing various tools and analytical methods.
• Summarize analytical findings in a coherent manner and draw insight from observations, interviews, and data analyses. Develop accurate conclusions from findings. Drafts recommendations and potential solutions for collaborative leadership review.
• Effectively execute on project plans in accordance with collaborative contracts and overall Member satisfaction.
• Develop presentations and deliverables for Members that communicate areas for improvement and outcomes.
• Participate in project management related activities as assigned regarding their work stream.
• Participate in risk and issue identification and mitigation along with the project leadership team.

 

Responsibility #2 – 5%

• Learn Premier based technologies and services.

 

Responsibility #3 – 5%

• Actively listens for market opportunities on current engagements and collaborative networks and communicates potential leads to managers.
• Contributes to collaborative related thought leadership opportunities (e.g., contributing to the writing of blogs, poster/presentations for industry events
• Identifies opportunities to improve profitability

 

Responsibility #4 – 5%

• Complete all required training requirements on an annual basis.

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more years

Education:

Bachelors (Required)

 

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

• Coordinate and deliver effective presentations (verbal and written) to client audiences to communicate project outcomes, recommendations, and strategy
• Ability to conduct analyses and oversee and mentor others in the delivery and production of client deliverables
• Ability to relate to clients and team members in an effective and collaborative manner
• Ability to lead work groups to successful outcomes

Analytics Focused Roles

• Lean Process Improvement; Six Sigma Green/Black belt
• Experience analyzing complex healthcare data sets and developing visualizations and presentations to support data-driven recommendations
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative data validation and analysis
• Experience in new methodology development and strategic problem-solving skills
  
  

Experience:

• Experience in Health Systems Finance, Operations (clinical, support or operations), Operational or Strategic Consulting, Strategic Planning or Decision Support Analytics

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree, master’s degree
• Registered Nurse (RN) with Perinatal Experience Required

Working Conditions: Remote

 

Travel Requirements: Travel 61-80% within the US

 

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
