You will design, build, test, deploy, and support integrations, reports, and data transformations across the Workday platform. The role sits at the intersection of technology, data, and business processes, translating approved technical designs into reliable production solutions. You will work across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and technical design through testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Collaboration with technical leads, functional specialists, client technology teams, and external vendors will be central to your success. The position offers a primarily remote environment with opportunities to contribute to meaningful transformation initiatives and deepen your expertise across Workday technologies.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, configure, test, deploy, and support Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, Workday Studio, Workday Web Services, and APIs in accordance with approved technical specifications.
- Participate in discovery and technical design activities by documenting interface requirements, data mappings, dependencies, integration approaches, and key technical decisions.
- Build and maintain XML/XSLT transformations, validation logic, error-handling mechanisms, and file-format conversions required to support reliable data exchange between systems.
- Conduct unit and integration testing, investigate transmission and authentication failures, resolve data-formatting issues, and support the remediation and validation of technical defects.
- Support functional teams during data conversion cycles by preparing and executing technical loads, validating results, investigating failures, and ensuring data is successfully processed.
- Develop and maintain Workday reports and calculated fields used for integrations, reconciliation, operational reporting, and downstream data consumption.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, mappings, test evidence, deployment procedures, and production support materials, while assisting with cutover and post-deployment validation.
- Collaborate closely with technical leads, functional teams, client technology resources, and third-party vendors to resolve integration dependencies, troubleshoot delivery issues, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of hands-on technical Workday development experience, with a strong understanding of the Workday platform and its integration capabilities.
- Proven experience working with EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Workday Web Services, XML, XSLT, and API-based integration mechanisms.
- Strong technical understanding of integration testing, troubleshooting, error handling, data validation, transmission issues, authentication, and file-format management.
- Ability to interpret approved technical specifications and independently execute assigned development and configuration tasks with a high degree of quality and ownership.
- Active Workday Creating and Securing Integrations, Workday Studio, and Workday Reporting certifications are required.
- Additional Workday certifications in areas such as platform capabilities, Extend, security, or reporting are valued and can strengthen your technical profile.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex integration issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams and clearly document technical decisions and solutions.
- Comfortable working in a project-driven environment where priorities may shift and successful delivery requires flexibility, attention to detail, and proactive collaboration.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or other offices based on project requirements, implementation milestones, and team collaboration needs.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $100,000–$130,000 USD, with the final offer influenced by skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and market benchmarking.
- Eligibility for a variable bonus in addition to base salary.
- Extensive learning and development opportunities, including unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning.
- Flexible working arrangements designed to support work-life balance.
- 25 days of annual holiday in addition to public holidays.
- Supplemented medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) plan with employer matching.
- Wellness initiatives supporting healthy working practices, including an allowance for remote-working technology.
- Access to discounted travel, tickets, events, and other lifestyle benefits through a benefits partner.
- Community-building opportunities through social events, meetups, and team activities.
